An update from Julie:

I have fabulous news ~ my latest set of CT Scans and MRIs show no evidence of disease! I also received the results of my signatera test this morning, again no evidence of cancer cells that match my tumor were found in my bloodstream. It has taken me some time to adjust to being cancer “free” after receiving a life estimate of 7-13 months earlier in the year.

Thank you, God, for bestowing upon me so many faithful prayer warriors, supportive friends and dedicated family. Thank you, all, for the kind words of encouragement, the supportive hugs, the thoughtful cards, the generous monetary donations, etc. I am eternally grateful. God, the Almighty Healer, has answered our prayers.

I will continue to be monitored every 3 months with scans and tests, as is normal protocol. I rejoice that my brain fog and cold sensitivity has decreased. However my neuropathy has worsened. I am hopeful that this will also subside in time. Please continue to pray for my recovery and healing. My surgeon and oncologist both told me to have patience with myself. I am 5 weeks post-op with a recovery of 6-12 months, so I do need to have patience.

Ron and I met with my Oncologist today. With the cancer being eradicated and/or removed from my body, we were given two options. First was to continue chemo for 12 more weeks. Dr. Preti informed us that there is no scientific studies/evidence proving that more chemo means a longer life or that cancer won't reappear. Second choice is to take a break from chemo. Do MRIs and CT scans on a two month schedule. Once cancer rears it's ugly head again, I will be stronger to attack it.

We've decided on the second option.

I appreciate all.of your support, prayers and encouragement. Please continue to pray for my recovery from surgery.

My CRS/HIPEC was this past Monday. My surgeon found 7 suspicious area and sent them all off for testing. ALl returnded negative for cancer. The surgeon removed my omentum, ovaries and fallopian tubes. She abrated a couple of spots of kidneys and liver. However, I didn't have the heated liquid chemo of the HIPEC procedure.

My recovery was going well until yesterday when my pain went off the charts. Pain meds changed and some ivs started, I am doing better. The surgeon will reaccess me today and may approve my release for this afternoon.

Thank you for all of your prayers, good thoughts, etc. My recovery will still be long due to abdominal surgery but hopefully it goes quickly.
