I wanted to invite you to join Georgia Funeral Care in honoring an unclaimed U.S. Army Veteran with a full military burial. The service will take place at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton on Monday morning, May 5th, at 10:30 AM.

At Georgia Funeral Care, we firmly believe that every veteran, regardless of their circumstances, deserves to be laid to rest with the utmost respect and military honors. We would be honored if you would join us to provide a dignified farewell to this brave individual who served our country.

If you are able to attend, please proceed to the Welcome Center upon arrival at the cemetery's main entrance. You will see three lanes with signage indicating last names. Please enter the lane marked "Rainey."

As a family-owned and operated full-service funeral home, Georgia Funeral Care is committed to providing affordable traditional burials and onsite cremations.
We take great pride in ensuring that even unclaimed veterans receive the proper and honorable burial they deserve.

Thank you for considering this invitation to pay tribute to this veteran's service.

Recently, Georgia Funeral Care learned of an "Unclaimed Veteran" who had passed away in the VA Hospital in Decatur. Even though Mr. Puckett has local family, the VA listed him as UNCLAIMED, due to the fact that his family was unwilling to claim his body. Georgia Funeral Care readily agreed to claim the body and give this hero an honorable burial.
Mr. Puckett will be laid to rest with military honors on Wednesday, December 18th at 2:00 PM at Georgia National Cemetery an example of our gratitude for what he did for us and our country.
Won’t you consider attending the service as we say farewell to this American treasure?

This Thanksgiving, We Remember 🧡

As we gather with loved ones around the table, it’s natural to feel both joy and the ache of missing those who are no longer with us. How do we carry their memory forward? Perhaps it’s sharing a cherished story, pausing for a quiet moment of reflection, or making a small gesture in their honor.

At Georgia Funeral Care, we believe gratitude for the memories shared can bring comfort, even in the hardest times. Today, may we hold their presence close to our hearts.
