Duncan Fire Department thanks the Ada Fire Department's Swift Water Rescue Team.

Answering the call for Mutual Aid, this team helped Duncan Fire Department's Swift Water Rescue Team with no fewer than 12 calls of stranded motorists. Of those calls, at least four people required rescue.

Duncan Fire Department urges you to stay home if at all possible, as roadways throughout town are under water.

Please do not drive through moving water, and do NOT drive around barricades. They are in place for your protection!

It has come to our attention that the City Council has called a special meeting to review the City Managers contract, with the intentions of terminating his employment. Tracy Roles has been a strong advocate for the City of Ada Firefighters and its citizens. In the pursuit of public safety we ask that you contact your City Council person and ask why this decision has been made. The meeting is at 4pm, Wednesday March 19th at City Hall.

Same message, new day! Today and tomorrow conditions are again favorable for extreme fire behavior. Please no outdoor burning.

03/14/2025

We ask that you take the fire danger seriously today. These conditions will make fires nearly impossible to control. Any controlled burns that are active should be extinguished immediately. Have a plan in place should evacuations be ordered.

It’s that time of year again, where the clocks get rolled forward. Being daylight savings time, it’s always a healthy reminder to change your batteries in your carbon monoxide detectors (if you have gas appliances) and your smoke detectors!

Great job, C shift!

Great job, C shift!

On Friday, January 31, 2025, just after 11 pm, the Ada Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire located in the 500 block of W. 22nd St.

Upon arrival, heavy flames and smoke were visible in the front of the house. Firefighters quickly started fighting the fire as another crew was assigned to primary search. A firefighter was conducting a search in a bedroom and found the family's dog. The dog was lifeless at the foot of the bed. He quickly removed the dog from the residence.

The firefighter and Mercy EMS began resuscitation efforts and Mookie started to slowly come around. After the fire had been extinguished and crews were getting their Rigs back in service, Mookie the dog was very eager to meet everyone! We would like to report that the family and Mookie are all safe and healthy!
