It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, friend, Scott Douglas Reed, on July 12, 2025, at the age of 44.
Scott was born February 5, 1981, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Scott was an amazing, gifted, funny soul who cared deeply for his family and friends.
Drugs offered Scott an escape from the demons he faced throughout his life. Rehab offered him a new life and for a while he thrived thanks to the many people who loved and supported him.
Sadly, his addiction caught up with him. We know the pain of his suffering. We know the pain of our own suffering as his family and friends.
We remember you not just how you died, but how you lived. You were more than your cravings, your chaos, your coping.
You were music in the room. You were joking in the car. You were having late-night conversations and stealing fries.
You were hard to love sometimes but you were still ours. All of us. And you still are.
At the end of the day, grief is proof that you mattered, you made a mark and that we will never forget. We will carry your name forward. In the recovery of others. You did not die in vain.

A Celebration of Scott’s Life will be held by his family at The Hope Center Ministries, CR 1533, Ada, OK, 74820 , August 9, 2025 at 12:00PM.

Sharon Darlene Welch, 65, of Konawa, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025 surrounded by all of her dedicated family and friends. She was born in Checotah, Oklahoma to her parents Robert "Bob" Neumeyer and Jalasca (Meals) Neumeyer. From a young age, she was always known for being a caregiver and genuine towards others, a trait that she carried throughout her entire life. Sharon loved BIG, and her commitment to her family, kids and grandkids superseded anything else going on in her life. If it was within her power, she would make sure that they had anything and everything they ever needed. She worked tirelessly, even to her own hurt sometimes, just to ensure that things were in order for her family. She was an adoring wife and help mate straight out of the bible, to her husband Kelton of fifty years. She was everything God intended her to be and so much more. She was a Mama to so many kids, in 1992 her and Kelton became foster parents and participated in foster care. She had such a heart for children, and so much love to give. She always told us to love them as hard as we could while we had them, and pray that they had a good life when they left. It was always a blessing to hear from any of them after they had moved on and grown up.
Sharon was not afraid to argue or fight for what is right. When the day was finished, it ultimately was all about the principle of the matter. She also loved crafting of all kinds, and would gift her projects to the people that meant something special to her. From wreaths, diamond art, floral arrangements or giving new life to something with a fresh coat of paint, she found joy in simply creating beauty. But her real happiness came from finding a good deal. Thrift shop, bin stores, yard sales, you name it! She had even been known to dumpster dive for the right item. When we were asked what her primary occupation was, well there isn't simply one answer. She was whoever she needed to be for that moment or person. She loved to work hard, but while her children were growing up, she was a proud stay at home mama and was alongside each of them helping them navigate through life. The most important lesson in Sharon’s life was to make her home a safe space for all who entered. She will be dearly missed by all of those who were blessed to have met her.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Robert R. Nuewmeyer and Jalasca Nuemeyer, and her brother Robert C. Nuemeyer, In-Laws Doyle and Mary Welch, granddaughter Brittney Welch, and her grandsons Christian Johnson and Jayson Khoury.

Sharon is survived by her husband Kelton Welch of the home, sons Chad, Matthew and Adam Welch, daughters Corine Dial, Janell Johnson, and Kayla Welch, step mother Barbara Harris-Nuemeyer, brothers Kevin, Bruce and Shawn Vanstory, and Michael Nuemeyer, and sister Joy Richard.

There will be a celebration of life held by Sharon’s family on July 19, 2025 at the Sasawka Church of Christ at 11:00AM with a meal to follow afterwards.

Darryl Gene Prince passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2025 after a summer evening doing what he loved best — spending quality time with people he loved. Darryl Prince (66) was born February 28th 1959 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Clarence William Prince and Sybal Jean Prince (Whittington). Darryl graduated with the Allen High School Class of 1977. A skilled diesel mechanic, Darryl owned and operated Prince Truck and Equipment for many years. He had a talent for diagnosing mechanical issues and getting engines running again, but he also had a gift for listening. His shop was rarely empty, filled with the sound of tools, conversation, and friends stopping by to visit. Vehicles often lined the yard, each waiting its turn in the care of his calloused hands. Just as often, one of his sons would be there beside him, learning as they worked together.

Darryl frequently set aside his own projects to help a friend, a neighbor, or a family member. He didn’t just repair machines. He was someone people in his community could count on. Darryl was a man of many talents. He enjoyed dirt track racing, antiquing, gardening, and spending time outdoors. He was a good ol’ boy who loved family weekends at the lake and never turned down a local Sunday poker game with his son. Darryl valued being part of his community and proudly served a term as Mayor of Stonewall. One of his proudest accomplishments was helping rebuild the city park so that families could have a place to gather, play, and make memories.

Darryl found the time to be a track favorite at Oklahoma Sports Park. Darryl was known as Stonewall’s very own #28 behind the wheel of his iconic Bellflower purple stock. Off the track, he had a knack for picking out the most unique and personal antique gifts. As an avid antique collector of all things rustic and timeless, he went out into the world and thought of the people he loved the most, expressing his love through the treasures he shared. He was known for being early to rise, early to leave, and could be found finding mischief from time to time. No one ever worked so hard to have so much fun in their life. When it came to his children and the people he loved, Darryl had the biggest heart. He was a proud father to seven children: Melissa, Brandon, Stephen, Tosha, Phillip, Darryl Jr. and Morre, and was a proud Grandpa/Great Grandpa/and Pa.

Honorary pallbearers include Brad Gibson, Randy Curtis, Leroy Daniel, Robert Dean, John Dagenar, and Zach Braun.

Darryl was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Sybal Prince, his former wife of 18 years, Lorrie Prince, who remained dear to his heart, and his granddaughter Ashlyn Moiser.

Darryl is survived by his brothers Anthony Prince and wife Kay of Pickett, Oklahoma, and brother Rickey Prince. He is also survived by his seven children: Melissa Moiser and husband Eric of Ada, Oklahoma; Brandon Prince and wife Kate of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, Stephen Prince and wife Kyla of Roff, Oklahoma; Tosha Wilson and husband Sammy of Vanoss, Oklahoma; Phillip Prince of Pottsboro, Texas; Darryl Prince Jr. of Ada, Oklahoma; Morre Prince and wife Angel of Stonewall, Oklahoma; and Ellie Braum of Stonewall, Oklahoma whom he loved as a daughter. Darryl was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren: Trinity Whitehead and fiancé Lucas Cartwright, Colton Moiser, Kasch Moiser, Brian McClure, Evan Prince, Lorelai Prince, Tori Prince, Paris Prince, Zachary Wilson, Carter Wilson, Audrina Prince, Sadie Prince, and Daniel Braum. He also leaves behind one great-grandchild, Maizley Prince.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10th, at Stonewall First Baptist, 330 Harrison Ave, Stonewall, OK 74871. Officiating will be Jarrod Presley, Pastor of Ada First Freewill Baptist Church.

Miguel Antonio Richardson, lovingly known as Michael and a proud member of the Seminole Nation, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Venice, California. He was 42 years old. A native of Oklahoma City, Miguel was a bright light, a deep thinker, and a creative soul whose presence brought laughter, music, and heartfelt conversation to every room he entered. Miguel was born on January 26, 1983, to Julio and Shirley Richardson. A proud graduate of Midwest City High School (Class of 2001), he went on to study music at Oklahoma City Community College, completing his program in music performance. His love for music wasn't just a hobby-it was who he was. He played the saxophone, keyboard, harmonica, and sang and rapped his own lyrics. He was a painter, a writer, and a creator. In California, he immersed himself in his artistry, always finding inspiration in life's details. He was a gifted storyteller, a fan of comic books and superheroes, and a walking movie review (often with spoilers). As a kid, he was known as being talkative and friendly. He had a teacher tell him he should be a preacher because he liked talking and helping people. When he was young he would pretend to be a news anchor-and often grabbed a toy mic to "report" on the day's events. He loved Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, karate, and bikes, and would spend entire afternoons with his cousins swimming in the pond, taking the boat out into the pond, climbing trees, or racing on his moped. Miguel's greatest joy and the apple of his eye was his daughter, Amyah Richardson, who he loved deeply. He was incredibly proud of her and believed in her and her future dreams. He taught her in the ways of eating healthy, working out, and pursuing her goals with heart and hustle. Faith was important to Miguel. He was baptized as a baby at Redeemer Lutheran Church and again as a child at Cathedral of Praise, where he was honored to receive his baptism certificate in a personal moment with the pastor. His questions about faith were thoughtful and searching-once waking up from a dream and asking his mother what "Deuteronomy" meant and then being encouraged to open his Bible and find out.

Miguel is survived by his daughter, Amyah Richardson; his parents, Julio (Evette)
Richardson and Shirley Richardson; his siblings, Antonio Richardson, Jacque Richardson, Emiliano J. Tapia, Syreeta Richardson, and Alec Velsaquez; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Luther & Rozelia Richardson and Dorothy Walker, his uncles, Miguel Richardson, Petrilio Richardson, & Guadalupe Richardson.

Miguel was bold, brilliant, and beautifully unique. A change-maker in his own right, Miguel's voice-his art, his laughter, his questions, and his heart-will be deeply missed.

There will be a funeral service held to honor his life on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025, at 1:00PM, at Phillips Funeral Home in Ada with interment to follow at Steedman Cemetery 12826 County Road 3670 Allen ,OK 74825. There will be a wake service held the evening before at Phillips Funeral Home from 5:00PM -

Lynnette Kaye Bryant, 66, of Ada, a devoted wife, loving mother, treasured Nana, and faithful friend, passed away surrounded by the family she so dearly loved on July 4, 2025. Born on July 8, 1958, in Alva, Oklahoma, Lynnette was the beloved daughter of Elmo Wesley Anderson and LaVida Mae (Murrow) Anderson. She graduated from Helena-Goltry High School in 1976 and married the love of her life, James Bryant, on July 15, 1977, in Helena, Oklahoma. The two shared 47 beautiful years of marriage.
Lynnette was a homemaker in every sense of the word—wife, mother, Nana—and the heart of her home. She took great joy in taking care of James, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always showing up with open arms and an open heart. Family get-togethers were her favorite, especially if it meant attending big events like births, graduations, school programs, weddings, or simply being present for the everyday moments—like taking her grandkids their favorite, very specific school lunches or picking the kids up after school for a treat.
Her love of life was best seen in the little things. She thrived outdoors, whether she was raking leaves, picking up pecans, or playing in the fire barrel. Lynnette was known to wield a battery-powered power tool or two and was always up for an adventure with her grandkids, especially ones that included dancing or wearing funny clothes. Her holiday spirit was unmatched—she loved theme wrapping Christmas presents and making a Joy box for her parents each and every year.
Lynnette had a knack for making others feel remembered. She never missed sending a card for a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion, and she seemed to have a card for everyone she knew.
She was preceded in death by her fathers-in-law, George Sullivan and James O. Bryant.
She is survived by her husband James Bryant of the home; her children: Emily Robinson and husband Alex of Ada, Julie Kiker and husband Josh of Ada, and Matthew Bryant and wife Kara of Ada; and her cherished grandchildren: Morgan Jordan and husband DaeJon, Kyndal Shugart and husband Broderick, Mallory Cheek, Aiden Robinson, Justin Kiker, Jenna Kiker, Sadie Bryant, Kasen Bryant, and Adely Bryant. Lynnette also leaves behind her three precious great-grandchildren: Lincoln Rains, Rheily Shugart, Saylor Shugart and baby Shugart on the way.

Bobby Joe Billey, 76, of Ada, passed away on July 2, 2025 at his home in Ada. He was born on March 8, 1949, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to his parents Ada (Wilkerson) Billey and Cecil Billey. He graduated from Madison High School and later dedicated a decade of service to Chickasaw Nation Transportation, where he became known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and quiet strength. In both his professional and personal life, Bobby carried himself with dignity and pride. On October 10, 1969, Bobby married the love of his life, Jean Billey, in Dallas, Texas. Over their 47 years of marriage, they built a strong and loving home together and raised a family that he cherished deeply. Bobby was a devoted husband and a fiercely proud father, always supportive of his children’s accomplishments and ever-present with a warm smile or a wise word. Outside of work, Bobby’s heart belonged to the pow-wow trail. A highly respected straight dancer—known for performing the gentleman’s dance—he traveled to many pow-wows and gatherings, celebrating and sharing his culture with grace and authenticity. He also found joy in selling Native American blankets, which not only allowed him to make a living but also introduced him to countless friends along the way. In his free time, Bobby enjoyed visiting the neighborhood bar, where he was well-known for his skills at the pool table. He could often be found laughing with locals, cue stick in hand, embracing community and camaraderie wherever he went. But perhaps Bobby’s favorite role of all was that of grandfather. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with them, making sure each one knew how special they were to him. Bobby’s warmth, humor, and unwavering pride in his heritage leave behind a legacy that will continue through the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Bobby is survived by his two loving daughters, Tammy Drinkwater and Annica Factor; and his cherished grandchildren: Mickayla Davis, Maicah Drinkwater, Nan-Aiyana Billey, Sakhir’a Billey, Tafv Factor, and Dallas Factor. He is also survived by his sons-in-law, Miguel Drinkwater and Matthew Factor.
