Founder of Love One Million Ways, is a graduate of Troy University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services. Her seminary journey began at Beason Divinity (Samford University, Birmingham, Al.), followed by her Masters of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Her most recent accomplishment was graduating with her PhD. of Philosophy with her concentration as a Clinical Sexologist. Love One Million Ways, through Hope For My Sistas, is the face, the hands, the feet, and the voice of love. We come encouraging, empowering, and extending Hope and Healing to every woman with LOVE! As I sit daily and listen to women share their story through their pain and their tears, of how someone took advantage of them by sexually molesting, or raping, or fondling their body, or making sexual advances through actions and words in their work place, I'm ANGRY AND SADDENED! I know that someone has to be a VOICE, for these women. I, through Hope For My Sista's and others who have become partners with us, have committed ourselves and our voices to this MOVEMENT OF CHANGE. Many of these Sista's are sharing their story for the first time, with me, of what happened to them as far back as they can remember. Most recently one who shared with me how she started being raped by her mothers boyfriend/husband when she was just nine (9) years old. She couldn't tell anyone, not even her mother! "She would not believe me; she took his word over me and my sister, on anything; and oh, I know he was raping my sister too." I am ANGRY because NO ONE should be taken advantaged of or used freely at the discretion of another, OR SPOKEN TO IN A LESS THAN FAVORABLE MANNER, for any reason. Let me say it again, NO ONE, especially a child. This is happening all too often everyday! I am SADDENED because we have elected officials and leaders throughout our world, both male and female, who voice their approval as well as show through their actions, (and their lack of actions), their support for both abusive actions and abusive language. I am both ANGRY and SADDENED by the fact that parents are not believing their children, especially their mothers. Each accusation is worth investigating. We owe it to the child to find out the TRUTH. The victims are human beings. The victims are infants and children! The victims are helpless, defenseless old ladies. These girls and these women are daughters, sisters, mothers, grandmothers, wives, aunties, nieces, cousins and co-workers in our World. Yes, there is going to be a final reckoning DAY OF JUDGMENT! However, there is a degree of responsibility that has been entrusted to us as citizens of this world. " He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God," Micah 6:8. Because the LORD requires us to take a stand for righteousness's sake, we cannot continue standing around like the ostrich with her head buried in the sand. We cannot continue walking as if we have blinders on and are oblivious to what's going on in or own families, our communities, and in our world. We cannot afford to act as if what is happening cannot happen to me and mine. If our families are going to have a inkling of hope, if our children are going to have a chance for a healthy wholesome life, if we are going to set our communities back on Straight Street, WE MUST BEGIN BY MAKING WOMEN WHOLE AGAIN. Women have been the super glue that holds families together Culturally, Historically and Spiritually, for Centuries. Whole women are still that super glue! Makeovers are great! However, makeovers only make the outside beautiful. The pain holding women hostage from wholeness is internal. This pain is mental. This pain is invisible and not tangible! One or Two office visits for Counseling or Therapy is not enough to assist a girl, who was sexually abuse for years by her stepfather, and at age 14 he impregnated her. Now, she is a woman who is struggling with her identity and trying to make sense of her life because of the abuse she should have never had to endure, repeatedly.
