✨Celebrating 16 Years of AMC✨
Today we celebrate the one who started it all, 16 years ago, Dr Terry James.
From humble beginnings walking the halls of Meek High School, he went on to become a two-time All-Gulf South Conference Academic Football Team selection at the University of North Alabama. His journey continued with the completion of a Master’s degree in Health Sciences at the University of Alabama, followed by earning his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham.
As Alfa’s first-ever Rural Medical Scholar, he dedicated himself to serving underserved communities and went on to complete his Family Medicine Residency at the Tuscaloosa Family Practice Residency Program.
Over the years, his impact has extended far beyond the exam room. He has mentored 24 aspiring healthcare students — with 13 of them going on to become esteemed physicians and certified nurse practitioners.
Today, we honor a legacy of service, leadership, and inspiration. Here's to the one who continues to pave the way for future generations in healthcare.
