Center for Discovery is proud to announce that we are accepting new patients at our residential treatment facility in Orange, California!

CFD Orange will support adolescents of all genders who have been diagnosed with an eating disorder and would benefit from a higher level of care in a residential treatment setting. Using evidence-based techniques, our highly trained expert staff is eager to serve every patient in finding the confidence and reassurance they need to succeed and discover the best version of themselves.

At Center for Discovery, we are committed to continuing to be good partners to those in and around Orange County, particularly with neighboring Chapman Global Medical Center. You may have heard the saying that eating disorders don’t discriminate – they affect people of all ages, genders, classes, ethnicities and sexual orientations. But did you know that student athletes are at a greater risk of developing disordered eating habits?

It’s true. According to the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD), one in four student athletes develop an eating disorder. The pressure to maintain a certain weight, shape and/or size, coupled with the need to “win,” outperform competition and advance to the next level, has shown to be highly influential toward athletes. This often prompts various behavioral changes (for example, eating and exercising habits) to achieve desired outcomes.
