Boston University is asking for participants to volunteer in a research study!

GOAL:
To better understand the informational needs and preferences of craniofacial patients and their parents or guardians regarding the use of social media for treatment-related information. If you agree, you will be asked to respond to a 23-item questionnaire which should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

WHO:
You are a craniofacial patient or their parent/guardian who is 18 years of age or older.

The goal of the Ensuring Lasting Smiles Act (ELSA) is to provide health insurance benefits for outpatient and inpatient treatment related to any congenital anomaly. This bill ensures that any procedure related to restoring function or appearance due to a birth defect would be covered by insurance from birth until function is restored. Over 70 patient advocacy and health care professional organizations have supported this legislation.

The Randall/LaRossa College Scholarship Fund was established in 2009 to honor Peter Randall, MD and Don LaRossa, MD for their work to enhance the quality of life for individuals affected by cleft lip/palate and other craniofacial conditions. ACPA grants four college scholarships annually to outstanding students born with cleft and/or craniofacial conditions.
