🧠 Emotional regulation takes practice! Here’s one of our favorite strategies to help kids build calm-down skills:

🌈 Create a “Feelings Check-In” chart together. Let your child choose pictures or emojis to match how they feel.
💬 Then, talk about what might help when those feelings get big—deep breaths, a nice cold drink, counting backwards, etc.

Small daily routines like this make a big difference over time. 💛

We are so excited (and a little sad!) to share that our amazing team member, Ms. Olivia, has headed off to England to pursue her master’s degree in Literature at the University of Liverpool! 📚✈️🇬🇧

During her time at IBT, Ms. Olivia brought so much creativity, kindness, and dedication to the children and families we serve. Her passion for learning and helping others was evident every single day, and we know she’s going to do incredible things in her next chapter.

While we will miss her dearly here at the clinic, we can’t wait to cheer her on from afar as she begins this exciting adventure. 💙

ABA therapy utilizes principles of ABA to teach new skills to learners. Not all ABA clinics approach this in the same way. At IBT, we use an individualized approach to connect with our clients first. We empathize with our clients when they are telling us or showing us emotions. Then, we co-regulate and help them through it. We are here to build connections, confidence, and persistence.

IBT recommends that you tour clinics, get to know their staff and how they approach ABA therapy. Then, lean into the ones that align best to your values.
