🚨 Medicare Telehealth Update – Effective October 1, 2025
Medicare has reverted back to pre-COVID-19 telehealth rules. This means that beginning October 1, 2025, most telehealth visits will no longer be covered by Medicare.
❌ What’s No Longer Covered
-Routine telehealth visits for primary care, weight management, and most specialty care
-Preventive services delivered via telehealth that were temporarily expanded during COVID-19
✅ What’s Still Covered
Medicare will continue to cover telehealth for a very limited set of services, including:
-ESRD (End-Stage Renal Disease) treatment
-Stroke evaluation and treatment
-Mental health and substance use disorder treatment
What This Means for Our Clients
If you are a Medicare beneficiary, your telehealth visits with us will not be covered starting October 1, 2025 (unless your visit falls into one of the exceptions above).
You will still have access to in-person visits at our office.
For clients with other insurance plans or self-pay, telehealth availability may vary based on your coverage.
📌 Tip: If you’re unsure how this change affects you, we encourage you to call your insurance provider or visit the official Medicare resource here: https://www.medicare.gov/coverage/telehealth
