On November 12,2023, I received the gift of life from a deceased kidney donor. Grateful, humbled, and overwhelmed. I’ll forever hold the donor and their family in my heart. Now the process of recovery and renewed possibilities begins. Thanks so much to all of you who have supported and encouraged me in so many ways on this journey. Wishing you a joyous holiday!

Enjoying summer while continuing to manage the ups and downs after 17 months on dialysis. I’m still active on the kidney transplant list at University of Michigan Hospital and remain hopeful for a living donor match. Incredible and inspiring story of a life-changing kidney donation “chain”. It both humbles and brings hope to those who are waiting for a kidney transplant.

Even if a living donor is not a perfect match… they may be able to help their intended recipient receive a life-saving kidney by donating through a paired kidney match process. The donor screening and assessment process is no cost, no obligation, and completely confidential.
