When we talk about harm reduction, prevention, and recovery, we often treat them like separate things. But the truth is—they all work together to help people stay safe, make healthy choices, and live better lives.

Harm reduction is all about kindness, respect, and dignity. It doesn’t demand that people stop using drugs right away. Instead, it meets people where they are, offering real tools to help them stay safer—without blame or judgment.

This approach supports everyone:
➡️ Those experimenting for the first time
➡️ Occasional users
➡️ People living with addiction

✨ Why harm reduction matters:
• It helps at every stage of drug use—not just during crisis
• It supports people through trauma, accidents, or unsafe situations
• It connects individuals to care, resources, and community support

At its heart, harm reduction is about being safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental. Together with prevention and recovery, it’s a powerful way to build a healthier, more supportive community for all.

⭐June Rising Star ⭐

Congratulations to our June Rising Star:

Lacey Jung Case Manager for our Intellectual and Developmental Disorders Team!

What Lacey's coworker said about her:

“Lacey goes above and beyond all day, every day! I am so thankful she is helping me facilitate the Parent Support Group.”

What Lacey likes about working for CMH:

"There’s so much I love about working for LCMHA! ALL of the staff are amazing and my team specifically just jives really well. I love how patient and inspiring each and every leader is. I love that staff have the freedom and encouragement to be a part of the organization in many ways, like through committees and support groups. I genuinely feel that this kind of culture at LCMHA allows every individual to contribute the best parts of themselves to the organization and the people we serve in a meaningful way each day."

Fun Fact about Lacey:

"I can juggle!"

Lacey, thank you so much for your dedication to our consumers!
