What an incredible heartfelt event Visiting Angels got to be apart of at the Adrian Senior Center! 🇺🇸

On November 13th, the Adrian Senior Center had a pinning ceremony to honor veterans in the community for their service.
We are blessed to able to sponsor such an incredible event and for Tim to be involved in the ceremony. God bless!

What does being an Angel mean to you?
To me, being an Angel means showing compassion, kindness, and willing to help with any tasks that may arise. Taking that extra step and going above and beyond to help make the lives of clients easier. Being supportive of family members involved in care and being just as willing to support and show empathy.
Showing up with a smile and ready to tackle any task. Take the time to listen to the client and allow the client time to talk if desired. Sometimes just sitting and holding their hand while they talk makes a difference. Showing someone cares.
Every client is different and has different needs. Each carry a special part in my heart forever. (Even the fill ins).
Knowing that you are making a difference in others' lives is a blessing itself. I found some clients only visitors are the visit from caregivers.
Each and every client I have had is so appreciative of the work we do!
Serving Veterans is just an extra sugar on top bonus. It's an Honor!
This career has changed my life forever in many ways.
I find when I am in stores wanting to help the elderly and just show compassion, kindness, and patience to give a lending hand to someone in need.
Clients have become friends over time with trust built and forming those special bonds. ❤️

🇺🇸 On Veteran's Day, Nov. 11th, we had the honor to brighten our veteran's days throughout Lenawee, Hillsdale, and Jackson County.

HUGE thank you to JPS Hunt Elementary kids for making the cards to reflect each branch of military service and Lenawee VO-TECH Healthcare Career Class for the goody bags.

We are in urgent need of several volunteers to deliver meals in the Adrian area. These routes are primarily within the city of Adrian, and they take about an hour to complete. This is a great way to get involved and give back to older adults in your community. If you are interested or have more questions, please call the route coordinator at 517-264-5305

Lauren from Visiting Angels came today to pick up 125 cards for the Veterans in their caregiving program. We were fortunate enough for some of our Game Changers to be on hand to make the delivery.
