What a bad experience today on The Ride in Ann Arbor . The bus drivers are so rude and are clearly annoyed by us riding the bus. They should keep in mind to some they are a role model. My son loves the bus and always says when he grows up he wants to be a bus driver. If you dont like the public dont have a job that revolves around it. I will be making a complaint tomorrow for verbal harassment.

The summer camp sponsored through the Crosswell House has been a great oppurtunity. The staff there are great with making EVERYONE fit in. So next year if your looking to get your child involved with some peers judgment free I highly recommend this program.

I currently live in Adrian MI. There is minimal to no resources on educating our fellow community about the Autism Spectrum Disorder. It is imperative we have something in place to better service our community's biggest crisis which is mental health.
I would utilize these funds to create an autism recreation center. This center would allow other individuals on the Autism Spectrum to spread awareness by holding charitable events at our center we would offer one on one and group support to families that may be feeling emotionally drained. I would like to offer as many resources as possible to any family that may be lacking emotional support through there extended families.
Alot of families lack the support they need in raising a autistic child into adulthood. Its unfortunate that these individuals are just pushed through the system but never have the encouragement to have a meaningful life. It hurts to just sit back and watch your child seep through the cracks because there isnt any classroom suitable enough for him or her because he either is or isnt "autistic" enough to be in a particular program. Everyone deserves acceptance and a full productive life. My center would help gear individuals with ASD into becoming successful happy adults.
Thank you in advance
