Locally we have a TON of wonderful organizations that support these wonderful individuals. One is The I Can House; iCan House is a Winston-Salem, NC-based nonprofit that supports neurodivergent individuals (children, teens, and adults) and their families by teaching social and life skills through interactive programs, clubs, and social events to build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging

This is a month near and dear to my heart! I have worked with so many incredible people since my home health aid days in high school to my now current roles at my private practice and as an autism mom. I will be sharing posts throughout this month about this special interest of mine.

Then and now… parking lot kitty update!! It’s been 1 year since I rescued 2 kittens from the therapy office parking lot. Rocket and Rascal have become the best barn/ farm cats! They now
Love to be cuddled and pet! They actually really like the snow (and equally love their heated cat house).

The office parking lot clearing guy no showed… I can’t do the parking lot (they hired someone new and reliable to come out), but I shoveled ice/snow to clear a path from the parking lot, 2 flights of stairs, and the deck to get to my office… looking forward to seeing clients in the office tomorrow.
