For this Memorial weekend we will have a one day only limited edition boosted tea.

Now, I normally come up with some cute and catchy name for the drink, but this time I'd rather us all sit back and remember why most of us have a 3 day weekend and are out "celebrating the holiday". First and foremost, Thank you for allowing me to take some time off for a few days. Im In Indianapolis taking a pit stop from the massive storms, still heading home.

As most of you close to me know, I work a full time second job. With full transparency, because I always am with you guys, I haven't been able to write myself a paycheck from the shops for 2 years now. That's okay because I'm growing and doing great things with the business. However, I am personally getting far behind on my mortgage and car and need to work more hours a week at the 2nd (and sometimes 3rd) job.

Tuesday the 19th will be the last Tuesday the Affton location is open for a month or two. Please make sure you go visit mom tomorrow!!! Tuesday's have been the slowest producing days in Affton for 3 years straight. I'm going to take a month or two to work the other jobs even more to catch up on my own bills. I plan to be here for the long run, so I need to make sure my bills are taken care of as quickly as possible.

It's that time again!
Janel and I will take off Wednesday night for our yearly celebration of our birthdays and will be gone for 5 days! Instead of a total shut down this year, we will only be closed 1 day at each shop.
When I get back, there will be a few changes. Temporary hour changes and a whole new tea line! I'll update ya all on those two things soon as all the logistics are worked out.

Today I was given an amazing opportunity to sit down with Monica Adams and talk about my health journey and my shops that are my absolute pride and joy!
As most of you know, I'm not big on being the center of attention so this was extremely nerve racking for me. I seriously thought I was going to throw up 🤦‍♀️. I always pride myself in being real and transparent. You know I don't own/wear makeup, dress fancy, or go all crazy with my appearance. Its always plain Jane with my Pumas. I wanted to be my true self.
So tell me why, as soon as this was over I INSTANTLY picked myself apart? Why do we do that to ourselves? I instantly disliked my choice of clothes, my hair, my weight, the way I held my hands, my wording, and so much more. But I SHOULDN'T! Yes, I've gained back 15lbs in the last 1.5yr while building up my 2nd shop. HOWEVER, I know I'm not lazy or making excuses. I'm putting in the work 7 days a week 12-17hr days to keep my shops open and my life in order. Doing this alone is hard and sometimes we don't have enough time for ourselves. I KNOW I will get back to my normal routine once I can step away from the 2nd job more.

So if you, take anything away from this today I want it to be this...
Give yourself grace! Appreciate the hard days and know that you kept going even when you thought you couldn't! Whether you know it or not, you are someone's inspiration.
