Is it Saturday night yet? We’re so excited for a big night at the Colosseum and hope you’ll consider joining us. What are we expecting? Glad you asked….
Join your Wolverines for a big home game as we come together as a community to Put the Puck to Cancer. This game is serving as a fundraising effort for our friends at Keweenaw Random Acts of Community Kindness (KRACK). At the game we’ll have limited supplies of our pink-out shirt with all of the proceeds from those sales benefiting the organization. They’ll use that money to help families who are actively fighting cancer to help them with things like supplies, travel stipends, etc.
In addition to the pink shirts for sale, we’re welcoming Joy Newman to the game as our fan of the game! Joy is currently fighting cancer, and the joy she brings to life on a day-to-day basis is an inspiration to all. She is the mother-in-law of Wolverines forward Garret Parker. Joy will be participating in a ceremonial puck drop prior to the game starting.
The game is sponsored by our friends from Eliason Law, who are sponsoring our first coozie giveaway of the season. Each of the first 100 fans will receive one pink coozie when they come in! After the game, Eliason will be hosting the post-game celebration at the U.P. Pub in downtown Calumet.
