Drinking water has been reinvented. These two solar panels I’m taking a selfie with provide 300-600 bottles of water a month by harnessing the power of the sun to grab the water from the air and put it to your kitchen sink. These new panels even come with an app that helps you track your water production. This is truly revolutionary. Not depending on supply chain for water while knowing your has no toxins and a perfect mineral content is everything! My family drinks this water all the time and believes it to be perfect.
The reality is that our water quality and infrastructure is becoming more and more fragile. There are a myriad of hard to solve issues including pipes that are corroding, the use of chlorine for sanitation, additives like fluoride that kill neurons, heavy metal contamination and don’t even get me started on the prescription drugs that end up in our public water supply.

Water is the median that your body will use to clear toxins from its system and is involved in literally every body function. This has everything to do with our health and wellness! Take control of your drinking water!

We have named our garden the Pharm Garden. We take seriously the idea that our food is our medicine. The social isolation gave us time to plan the future of our food production in our new home starting with this square inch garden. Square inch gardening was developed in the eighties by retired engineer, Mel Bartholomew, looking to solve the inefficiencies in row gardening. Traditional row gardens need a lot of space to provide a household with enough bulk and variety of food. Square inch gardening is a efficient easy and beautiful way to create a reliable source of health and wellness to your family.

Watermelon is perfect for the dry heat of Arizona. It’s cooling and sweet, reaching the heart stomach and bladder meridians. Its cold down bearing nature clears Arizona’s summer heat. It quenches thirst while relieving agitation, restlessness, sweating and the tossing & turning of disturbed sleep on a hot summer night. It can soothe heart fire flaring upwards creating a restless mind and palpitations. Not to be used in xu cold conditions in the spleen and stomach as well as accumulations of dampness.

Taoist philosophy gives us this wisdom appropriate for today. “Highest good is like water. Because water excels in benefiting the myriad creatures without contending with them and settles where none would like to be, it comes closest to the way.”

In the infancy of the universe there were no names. Naming fragments the mysteries of life into ten thousand things and their manifestations.
The Tao that can be told is not the universal Tao. The name that can be named is not the universal name.
Year mysteries and manifestations spring from the same source: The Tao which is the mystery within the manifestation, the manifestation within the mystery, the naming of the unnamed, and the un-naming of the named.
When these interpretations are in full attendance, we will pass the gates of naming notions in our journey toward transcendence. - Tao Te Ching

I “believe that Acupuncture is not just a system of medical practice, that Acupuncture is a philosophy of life and that these Meridians that we are studying are merely roadmaps that represent the challenges, the distractions in some cases, the excesses, the indulgences in others, of what life constitutes.

So an acupuncturist is essentially someone who explores your life with you. They examine what are the road maps that you are in some way ways highly interested in, what are the road maps in your life you have been overindulging in” Jeffrey Yuan 3 Spirits & 7 Souls

I am very excited to have created this sourdough starter with the my partner. Great recipe at tasty.co. Sourdough just makes me feel good when I eat it. It’s added sour makes it more beneficial to the Liver Qi.

“Here’s a look at a few key reasons why sourdough is good for you, both body and soul. From goeatyourbreadwithjoy.com

1. According to most sources, sourdough bread is an ally to anyone with digestive difficulties. Why? Traditional wheat contains what’s known as phytic acid, something that inhibits the enzymes that break down proteins and starch in digestion. In sourdough, however, “the wild yeast and lactobacillus in the leaven neutralise the phytic acid as the bread proves through the acidification of the dough. This prevents the effects of the phytic acid and makes the bread easier for us to digest,” says Vanessa Kimbell of The Sourdough School. For some people with gluten sensitivities, this makes sourdough a bread easier to handle.

2. While many breads are high in nutrients, sourdough bread is high in nutrients that are more available to the body. Here’s why: the lower levels of phytates in sourdough bread not only aid digestion, but also they improve mineral absorption. Sourdough fermentation also increases folate levels in the bread, although levels of certain nutrients like vitamin E may be slightly reduced in the process.”

3. It doesn’t spike insulin. The same acids that neutralize phytic acid and make nutrients more available in sourdough bread also slow down the way glucose is released into the blood stream, according to a 2013 article in The Guardian.

4. it’s likely that the fermentation of the sourdough changes the nature of the starches in the bread, creating a more beneficial bread.”

Personally I have been craving pickled vegetables. I have fallen deeply in love with pickled red onions. I feel like I could add them to everything I eat. This craving for sour in Chinese medicine is telling me to pay attention to my Liver Qi. Sour is the taste related to the liver. When one is craving sour we look to liver disharmonies. The liver is responsible for the free flow of Qi in the body. The emotions associated with liver stagnation are frustration, anger, irritability and feeling stagnant or trapped. As liver stagnation increases heat develops and can rise to the head causing headaches, high blood pressure, dizziness, ear ringing and red face and eyes. Menstrual problems are associated with liver qi stagnation as well. Those with abnormal or irregular me**es are more susceptible to Liver Qi disharmonies. The taste of sour is astringent, calming and consolidating and soothes the liver.

is amazing how fresh cilantro tastes straight out of the garden. I am thrilled that ours is surviving the AZ heat and not going straight to bolt. “Cilantro is the leafy part of coriander sativum, sometimes called Chinese parsley. Coriander has a history dating back to 5,000 B.C. The seed of the flower has been used as a spice in Old Testament biblical times. It was cultivated in Greece in 2,000 B.C. Hippocrates used coriander seed as an aromatic stimulant. Indians used coriander seed together with cumin seed as a diuretic.

Traditional Chinese medicine classifies cilantro as cool and cleansing. It is used as a garnish for various foods: meat, poultry, and fish. It is often used in soups and can be added to salads. The following health benefits are worth noting.

1. Anti-inflammatory. Cilantro has strong antioxidant properties and is anti-inflammatory.

2. Lipid lowering. It lowers both cholesterol and triglycerides by increasing synthesis of bile by the liver and increasing the breakdown of lipids.

3. Controls blood sugar. Cilantro stimulates insulin release and has insulin-like activity making it beneficial for type 2 diabetes mellitus

4.Antibacterial. Studies have shown that the active ingredient, dodecenal as well as others in cilantro are antibacterial against Salmonella.

5. Binds toxic metals. An ingredient in cilantro binds heavy metals such as lead and mercury.

The only down side to cilantro is that it can be allergenic for some individuals. It has a distinct aroma, which some might find unpleasant, but a taste for it can be acquired. The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages of including cilantro daily in ones diet.”

I love the way Dr Adrian Larson talks about GB34. “Anytime you have a tendon or ligament problem, ANYWHERE in your body, you need to think of Gallbladder 34. Got ankle pain? Add Gallbladder 34. Got shoulder pain? Add Gallbladder 34. Got hip problems? Add Gallbladder 34. You get the point…. Gallbladder 34 is good for ANY problems related to tendons and ligaments.

The course of the Gallbladder channel includes temple headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, sciatic nerve pain, hip pain, and ankle pain. It’s really easy to reach wherever you are. If I am having pain in any of those areas, I like to go down and push on this point. It’s amazing how instantly I get relief from pain with one single acupuncture point. Try it. It really works!” His enthusiasm really drives home how essential this point is. This point Acupuncture Point’s name translated means
Yang Mound Spring. It is located in a depression anterior and inferior to the head of the fibula. Amazingly it is the He-Sea, Earth point of the Gall Bladder channel, Influential point of the Sinews, Ma Dan-yang Heavenly Star point and the Lower He-Sea of the Gall Bladder.

It soothes the sinews and vessels; clears gallbladder heat; expels wind from the knee and legs; courses damp and stagnation in the channels and connecting vessels GB34-line

It is indicated for Hemiplegia, bi and numbness of the lower limbs; pain and swelling of the knee; lateral costal pain; bitter taste in the mouth; vomiting; jaundice, fullness in the chest and lateral costal region; bitter taste in the mouth; sighing; urinary incontinence; constipation; headache; wind-strike hemiplegia; swelling of the mouth, tongue, throat, head or face; disorders of the sinews.
