Did you know reptiles 🦎 don’t have external ears like mammals do. Instead, most have an ear opening (a small hole or slit on the side of the head) that leads to the eardrum. That said, some reptiles’ ear openings are much larger and more visible than others.

The Tokay gecko (Gekko gecko) is often considered to have the most noticeable ears among reptiles. Its ear openings are quite large, and you can even shine a light🔦 through one ear and see it from the other side of the head because the openings are aligned straight through the skull.
