Another continuing education course in the books!! 📚 this weekend we learned new skills and tweaked our knowledge on serving those with cervical spine and thoracic pain! We can’t wait to get back in the clinic to apply better hands on care and provide education for this population of people! Thank you for a fantastic course! 💪🏼

It’s with efforts of our team and those we get to serve and treat that make us all great and shed positive impact in what we do. Augusta University students are always a pleasure to host for their clinical rotations! They’re able to apply their knowledge from the classroom and build their skills to enter the field after graduation! They did a fantastic job over their 8 weeks & made a positive impact on our patients lives! Thank you Kelly, Baker & Josh for being great clinical instructors!

We are so happy to say that Ev is back on the soccer field and doing all the activities she enjoys. It’s been over a year with physical therapy, multiple doctors, Hospitals and finally a plan of action to get her better. It truly has taken a village. CRPS is as complicated a diagnoses as they come. The pain is intense, confusing and debilitating. She could not stand to put weight on her leg, much less even touch it for months. She has shown a true warrior spirit in overcoming this. Her courage and determination is a testament to how dedicated she is. We are excited to see her thrive.

We always love welcoming student therapists in our clinic & are always sad to say goodbye! Dennis, SPTA, from Midlands Tech completed his 8 week clinical rotation with us & we’re so thankful to have had such a kind, funny & hard working student! He was able to learn from each of our therapists to put tools in his toolbox for the real PT world! Thanks to his time and efforts in bettering our Aiken community, he was able to see some of our patients graduate and meet all their goals! Now it’s time for him to graduate PTA school soon and pass his board exam!

Our team keeps growing!! Corey Smith is our newest and youngest of the bunch now!

He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Georgia Southern University in Savannah, GA, and completed his orthopedic residency training at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. In addition, he holds advanced certifications in orthopedic manual therapy, dry needling, and bike fitting.

Outside the clinic, Corey enjoys cycling, running, and traveling with his wife.

Please help us in welcoming Amanda Farquhar to our Raines PT team! She has been PRN with us these last few months!

She went to the University of St. Augustine for her doctorate in physical therapy (graduated in 2017) and Valdosta State University for her bachelors in exercise physiology (graduated in 2014). She is from Valdosta, GA but moved a good bit when she was a travel physical therapist (5 years). After she married her husband who was in the Navy, they moved to Aiken in December 2024 from Jacksonville, FL. They wanted a quiet place with a small town feel to raise their son and found Aiken to be the perfect fit. In her free time, she likes being outdoors, working out, trying new recipes, and spending time with family!

She is an amazing addition to our team, full of knowledge and passion for what she does!

Last week we had to say “see ya later” to 2 of our best gals! They’ve been such an asset to us making our treatments more efficient and fun! Tatum - we will miss your partner wall sits, sweet personality & the love of all things Jesus & pickles! Shelton - we will miss your helpful hands, your smile, and always having an energy drink on hand! To our techs, we hope for nothing but the best as you both enter your 2025 college year! You are already both so dearly missed and we love you! Come back SOON!!!
