Pediatric Therapy Associates is the premier outpatient pediatric rehabilitation clinic in South Carolina. We believe in a patient-driven, patient-centered model of care. All three branches (speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy) work in conjunction to provide the most complete plan possible. Our highly-specialized therapists and early interventionists provide a full range of services for children ages 0 to 21 who need additional care and support in their development and progress. We pride ourselves on being one of the only facilities to offer multiple services specializing in pediatric rehabilitation and early intervention. Our “all-in-one” approach has proven to overcome particular barriers and create a comforting environment for both child and family. The creation of our TRUcare system (Therapeutic Review Unit) ensures that each child is receiving the absolute best care possible – and nothing is missed in his/her development. With TRUcare, your child’s case is discussed by therapists from all of our disciplines in order to guarantee we are working on the entire challenge facing your child. Physical therapy: addresses postural and motor control, balance and equilibrium skills, gait, muscular strength and endurance, range of motion and flexibility, coordination skills, and developmental delays. Occupational Therapy: They evaluate and treat patient's with whom may have one of the following deficits:
Activities of daily living skills: dressing grooming, hygiene, feeding. Fine Motor skills: coloring, handwriting, cutting
Groos Motor skills: balance and coordination, motor planning and ex*****on. Sensory Modulation: Touch, Hearing, Vision

Speech Therapy: Evaluate and treat patient's with whom may have one of the following deficits:
Aphasia- inability to utilize language appropriately due to neurological disorders. Apraxia- difficultly planning executing the motor movements for speech production. Auditory- processing and perception
Articulation disorders- problems producing some sounds
Dysarthia- slurred speech typically related to a neurological impairment
Hearing impairment
Language Disorders- receptive, expressive, and cognitive
Non-verbal individuals- assessed for alternative augmentative communication
Stuttering, Swallowing, and /or Voice Disorder
