Our Story...

VetTeaMed was developed by three animal loving scientists. While the nature of our work initially started in the human market, researching the antimicrobial properties of green tea polyphenols, for our sister company, Camellix. We pride ourselves in our ability to incorporate our research into the equine products. While Melissa was working for Camellix, one of her horses, a sensitive off track Thoroughbred, developed an awful case of rain rot- right before the GOV Oldenburg inspection. After weeks of trying other products, with no success, it was suggested to try one of the products in development. Within days, it was noted that the horses coat begun to return to its natural beautiful shine and the scabs begun to heal. Together, we recognized a huge flaw in the available animal products, most of them simply did not work. Aside from faulty and misleading results advertised by companies, we divulged into the ingredient lists of many of the available products. It became quickly apparent that the majority of the products on the market utilized cheap ingredients that posed a health concern to not just our animals, but ourselves and our environment. It was not uncommon to see ingredients that have been recalled from human use, in the products that we readily use on our animals. We all agreed that we could provide safe and effective products. Thus VetTeaMed was born.
