Cumbee Center's VIRTUAL Conference, Healthy Manhood: Out of the Manbox, featuring the nationally renowned organization A CALL TO MEN is being held on Thursday, April 23rd 9a-1p.

This FREE online event is the final session of a three-part series, though attendance at the previous sessions is not required to benefit from this conference.

In this session, we will provide a 101 breakdown of the Manosphere, examine its impacts on boys and men—both as victims and as perpetrators of harm (crimes of domestic and sexual violence)—work through a scenario/case study, and discuss strategies to support our communities in preventing sexual violence, particularly in digital spaces, and informing our advocacy efforts.

NOTE: While the title of this conference speaks directly to men, we encourage participation from all professionals and community members. Because we all have boys and men in our lives, it is imperative that we all participate in these conversations to address violence and promote healthy development.

This conference series is accredited for 3.5 VSP, CLEE and CEU hours. Registration and full attendance is required to receive credit.

Open and honest communication about boundaries is essential in any healthy relationship. Consent is specific and ongoing—agreeing to one activity does not imply agreement to anything else.

Everyone has the right to set and change their boundaries at any time. Consent must be given clearly for each interaction, every time.

If you or someone you know needs support, we’re here—24/7, free, and confidential. 803-649-0480. You are not alone.

Do your teens know what consent actually looks like?
These conversations aren’t always easy—but they are necessary.

Talking with young people about:
✔️ Respecting boundaries
✔️ Healthy vs. unhealthy relationships
✔️ Clear communication
…helps them build safer, healthier connections now and in the future.

At Cumbee Center, we believe prevention starts with education—at home, in schools, and in our community.

If you need guidance on how to start these conversations, we’re here to help.
Start the conversation. Support is always available.

If you or someone you know needs support, we’re here—24/7, free, and confidential. 803-649-0480. You are not alone.

It’s never too early to start talking about consent.
Teaching kids about boundaries, respect, and communication helps shape the way they build relationships for the rest of their lives.
And it doesn’t have to be one big conversation—
it can be small, every day moments that make the biggest impact.

At Cumbee Center, we’re committed to helping families have these conversations and create safer environments for the next generation.
Because prevention starts early—and it starts with us.

If you or someone you know needs support, we’re here—24/7, free, and confidential. 803-649-0480. You are not alone.

Preventing sexual violence isn’t just about what we tell girls—it’s also about what we teach our sons.

Teaching young men to:
✔️ Respect boundaries
✔️ Understand consent
✔️ Communicate clearly
…is a critical part of prevention.

These lessons shape how they show up in relationships, friendships, and everyday interactions.

At Cumbee Center, we’re working to build a community where respect, accountability, and healthy relationships are the standard.

Education is prevention. Conversations matter.

If you or someone you know needs support, we’re here—24/7, free, and confidential. 803-649-0480. You are not alone.

Healthy relationships don’t start with assumptions—they start with consent.

Consent means:
✔️ Clear communication
✔️ Mutual respect
✔️ The freedom to say yes—or no—at any time

It’s not silence. It’s not “maybe.” It’s not something assumed.
It’s an ongoing, honest conversation between people who respect each other’s boundaries.

At Cumbee Center, we believe these conversations are key to preventing sexual violence and building safer, healthier relationships in our community.

If you or someone you know needs support, we’re here—24/7, free, and confidential. 803-649-0480
You are not alone.
