Did you know that Rural Health Services, Inc. has been a pillar of care in the Aiken community for over 50 years?
Founded in 1971, RHS began with a bold mission: to ensure that everyone—regardless of income, background, or zip code—could access quality, compassionate health care. 🌎💙
From humble beginnings as a grassroots community effort, RHS has grown into a multi-site Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving patients across Aiken County and beyond. With locations like Clyburn Center for Primary Care, Margaret J. Weston Community Health Center, Family Health Center, and the Women and Children's Center, we continue to expand services to meet the evolving needs of the communities we serve.

Today marks the commencement of National Community Health Week nationwide, and inclement weather did not hinder the RHS Annual Health Care for the Homeless Event at Gyles Park. We extend our gratitude to our community partners, Umoja Village, Eyes on Aiken, Tridevelopment, Aiken Couty School District, Lost Sheep Ministries, RHS medical/dental staff, City of Aiken, Exquisite Barber Shop, and to Salvation Army for their participation and providing a meal to all attendees. Appointments for primary care and dental services were scheduled, jackets and clothing were distributed, and resources for food, housing, and behavioral health were shared, complemented by line dance classes.

Established in 1971, Rural Health Services (RHS) has provided a wide array of primary and preventive healthcare services to the population of Aiken County and surrounding areas.

RHS is a private, non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). RHS offers culturally-competent, comprehensive primary, preventive, and supplemental healthcare services to all people, regardless of ability to pay, through its main facility in Aiken and satellite facilities in Clearwater and South Aiken.

The mission of Rural Health Services is to provide accessible, quality, comprehensive primary healthcare services in a dignified and culturally-competent manner to the population in Aiken county and surrounding areas. Our focus is on improving the health of our patients with state of the art technology and extraordinary care.

We offer services in three convenient locations:
