Jeana has been part of the Riverwood team for 12 years, all of them working in Wound Care. Sheโ€™s known for her warm, down-to-earth approach and knack for making patients heel comfortable and cared for.

The time she gets to spend with patients. Whether sheโ€™s educating them about wound healing or getting to know them well enough to create a treatment plan they feel comfortable following, those relationships matter most to her.

Jeana earned a bachelorโ€™s degree in political science and social studies from Bemidji State University before returning to school for nursing. She also walked the Fargo Half Marathonโ€”13.1 milesโ€”while five and a half months pregnant with her first child.

Outside of work, Jeana loves reading, spending time with family, road tripping (39 states and counting), and cheering on her kids at hockey, tennis, and mountain biking.

We're celebrating Gordy Schwartz, RN, recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses โ€” a national honor recognizing exceptional patient care.

After a patient's second emergency department visit, Gordyโ€™s expertise and advocacy uncovered a serious condition requiring emergency surgery. After a full 12-hour shift, he chose to stay โ€” supporting the patient and his wife through questions, fears, and the wait for surgery. In her nomination, the patientโ€™s wife shared that Gordyโ€™s presence brought comfort during one of their familyโ€™s hardest days.
