I’ll be the first to admit that when I was in the thick of my own health journey, I felt like
my body was failing me. Between the bloating and the exhaustion, I felt frustrated and, honestly,
a little betrayed by my own gut.
But as a Nurse Practitioner, I had to stop and remind myself of a truth I often tell my patients:
Your body isn't "broken." It’s communicating. 🩺✨
Think about it like this—when my "4-going-on-21" daughter gets a little loud (LOL, you moms
know what I mean!), she’s not being "bad," she’s just trying to tell me she needs something.
Your gut is the same way.
Those symptoms we tend to ignore—the brain fog, the skin flare-ups, the midday slump—aren't
signs of failure. They are valuable pieces of information. They are your body’s way of saying,
"Hey, I need a little more support over here!"
Healing doesn't start with a restrictive diet or a "magic" pill. It starts with listening. Once I
stopped trying to silence my symptoms and started actually hearing what my gut was trying to
tell me, everything shifted. My energy came back, and I finally felt like I was working with my
body instead of against it.
That mindset shift—moving from "fix it" to "listen to it"—is the heartbeat of what we do.
This is where EMBODY began. 🌿
