Sometimes, a loved one passes away and nothing is organized. There’s no plan or paperwork… Just heartbreak and panic. Here’s what to do when that happens:

1️⃣ Call us first – We’ll take care of transportation, secure permits and start guiding you.
2️⃣ Gather what you can – Recent ID, basic family info and any records you do find.
3️⃣ Don’t panic if there’s no will – We’ll explain what steps to take and what’s legally required.
4️⃣ Delay non-urgent tasks – Financials, insurance and paperwork can wait a few days.
5️⃣ Lean on us – We’ve walked families through this before. You're not “handling it poorly”—you’re grieving.

It’s one of the most common things we hear after a loss… “People want to help, but I don’t even know what to ask for.” Next time someone asks you what you need, review this list:

1️⃣ Start with Practical Tasks
❤️‍🩹 Grocery runs or meal drop-offs
❤️‍🩹 Pet care or child transportation
❤️‍🩹 Help with phone calls or paperwork

2️⃣ Think About Emotional Needs
❤️‍🩹 A friend who will just sit with you
❤️‍🩹 Someone to check in on tough days
❤️‍🩹 A listening ear—without needing to “fix it”

3️⃣ Remember This
❤️‍🩹 You’re not a burden.
❤️‍🩹 Most people want to support you—they just don’t know how.
❤️‍🩹 It’s okay to say, “I’m not sure yet, but I’ll let you know.”

You don’t have to do this alone. And you can accept kindness, even if you feel like you don’t have it all figured out. 🤍
