Happy Liaison Day! Here at Compassionate Care Hospice, we have 3 of the best! They are typically the first team members that speak to our patients and their families about our hospice services. Their kindness and expertise provide comfort and support to our patients and their families right from the start.
Kim has been with our team since 2023. Her Hospice Why-
"Growing up, my great grandmother lived with us until she was 103. Over the years, I developed a strong affinity and compassion for the elder. Through her own humility, my great grandmother was a wonderful role model for showing love and compassion and how to serve others graciously. Throughout my life, I watched my mother be a caretaker, not only to my great grandmother, but to many of my family members. My mother taught me to be selfless, as she is the most unselfish person I've ever known. These values have been instilled in me throughout my whole life. When I had the opportunity to work in hospice, I felt a strong calling to help those facing terminal illnesses. It is very fulfilling to help families navigate the end-of-life journey with compassion and dignity. Working in hospice has been extremely fulfilling and meaningful. Hospice provides me with a sense of purpose and accomplishment every day." - Kim
Paige has been with our team since 2023 as well. Her Hospice Why-
"Being a hospice liaison is so rewarding and gives me the opportunity to help many people during some of the most difficult times. It allows me to help patients and families learn more about hospice so they can get the care and support they need. Hospice is underutilized and it’s so important that people are given the option and education to make their own decisions."- Paige
Susanne has been with our team since 2022. Her Hospice Why-
"I have always considered myself a very caring and compassionate person. I became a nurse right out of high school. I worked in several positions as a nurse in a long-term care, home health, and a rehabilitation hospital. After several years, I wanted to expand my professional horizon. However, I stayed in the healthcare arena by doing medical and pharmaceutical sales. I found it very fulfilling because the products that I was marketing benefited many patients over the years. Life moved along and my parents and very dear friend needed hospice services. As a result of dealing with these situations up close and personal, I saw the value of hospice firsthand. These experiences led me to want to be more directly involved with hospice. My nursing and sales background seemed the perfect combination to pursue a career as a hospice liaison. This has been one of the most fulfilling and meaningful experiences in my life. I am a firm believer that God puts us where He needs us, and I am right where He needs me to be at this point in time."- Susanne
We are truly honored to work with some of the most compassionate people- thank you for all you do!
