Speech and language are often used interchangeably, but they are actually very different! 🗣️

Speech refers to how we say sounds and words, while language is how we understand and express ideas, thoughts, wants, and needs. Both play an important role in communication and development!

Our very own Katie Turrington will be presenting at the Supporting Neurodivergent Brains Summit on May 6th, alongside 30 OTs and SLPs from around the world.

Her session is called, “Ready, Set, Regulate!” and she will be sharing fun, engaging sensory activities for clinics and schools.

Katie has been a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant since 2019, with experience in both outpatient pediatrics and school-based settings. She’s passionate about helping students thrive through movement, connection, and regulation.
