LLA Therapy

LLA Therapy A pediatric therapy practice that provides ABA, occupational, physical, reading, and speech therapy. LLA Therapy is a family first company.

LLA Therapy is a medical practice that has been operating in Northeast Ohio for more than 25 years. At our outpatient clinics in Fairlawn, Hudson, and Medina we specialize in providing pediatric speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and ABA therapy. Therefore, we strive to include parents, family members, and other healthcare professionals in the therapy process to ensure our patients are receiving the highest quality of care. LLA Therapy also specializes in providing contract services for a variety of institutions. We provide ancillary services to school districts, preschools, developmental centers, medical centers, and more. Our therapists are credentialed through the state and their respective governing boards to work within these public institutions. We possess expertise in case load management, Medicaid documentation, development and implementation of individualized education programs, Extended School Year program development, and progress monitoring. We actively collaborate with families, school administrators, teachers, and principals because we believe the team approach is the most effective when providing therapy to our clients

How to help your child with their handwriting- its as simple as using this 1 tool!

If your child has a difficult time writing and you see they have a hard time sitting upright and controlling their pencil, then your child may benefit from using a sloped (or slanted) surface to write on. Writing on a slanted surface has many benefits., such as bringing worksheets and papers closer to the eyes. And this position naturally moves the wrist into an extended position.

Want to try this at home? Here’s how to create a slant board on a budget! Use a 3-ring binder that creates a slope of 20-30 degrees. Clip on 1 binder clip on one or both sides of the binder to secure the paper in place.

Do clothing battles happen in your house?
Some kids are extra sensitive to textures, sounds, or bright lights-it’s all part of how their nervous system processes the world around them. This is called Sensory Processing, and Occupational Therapy can help kids feel more comfortable and confident in their daily routines.

Other common signs include challenges with brushing teeth or hair, or avoiding noisy and bright environments.

💡 If this sounds familiar, we’d love to support your child! Schedule a free screening or evaluation with one of our Occupational Therapists today.
