For 10 years, we provided FREE YOGA for the people:1st and 3rd TUESDAY NIGHTS ( September until our free Summer Solstice Festival), in donated spaces.

Akron's * original* accessible yoga community, and spreader of peace! We like to think we started the yoga boom in Akron, by creating this big, FREE, grassroots, weekly yoga practice, but we know that its the PEOPLE of NEO who did it! Thousands of folks have rolled out their mats with Free Akron Yoga-- without cost, without fuss--and shared their love and laughter. We built a community, and its a nice one! We are usually on Summer break after June 21st until September...

After that, join us for classes EVERY Tuesday from 7:00-8:30 pm
at The Church of Our Saviour, 471 Crosby Street, Akron, Ohio.

For those who haven’t heard the sad news, our friend, colleague, and teacher Jodi Fill passed away on Tuesday.

Jodi’s visitation & memorial will be at The Spiritual Life Society,
1 East Main Street, Hudson, Ohio.
Additional parking available at the Johnson-Romito Funeral Home, 19 E. Main St., and on local streets.

SUNDAY VISITATION: 2:00 - 5:00 pm
MONDAY VISITATION: 10:00 am
followed by
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 - 11:30 am

Longtime Free Akron Yoga Teacher, and truly extraordinary human, Jodi Fill, passed away on Tuesday. Jodi was a brilliant ray of light and kindness in our community- and we will carry her memory in our hearts, always.

What is “Free Akron Yoga”?

We like to think we started the yoga boom in Akron, by creating this big, FREE, grassroots, weekly yoga practice, but we know that its the PEOPLE of NEO who did it! Thousands of folks have rolled out their mats with Free Akron Yoga-- without cost, without fuss--and shared their love and laughter. We built a community, and its a nice one! We are usually on Summer break after June 21st until September... After that, join us for classes (during the 2017-18 season) on the first and third Tuesday of each month, from 7:00-8:30 pm at The Church of Our Saviour, 471 Crosby Street, Akron, Ohio. This year, the talented, VOLUNTEER teacher team is focusing on *Yoga for EVERYbody*, offering classes designed to make yoga more accessible-- for all bodies, all backgrounds, all circumstances. Among the offerings: Chair Yoga (a seated practice, great for everybody!); Yoga for the Childbearing Year (for moms and their non-mobile babies); Yoga for Diverse Bodies; and Yoga for Stress Relief....among many others.
