Cardiology department at Metro Our cardiologists evaluates, diagnoses and treats congenital and acquired heart diseases.

Working out of Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital since August 2004, Dr. Lori Hitchcock and her staff strive to assist your regular veterinarian in providing the best care for your extended furry family. This comprehensive practice offers specialized diagnostics and invasive procedures for your animal's cardiac care. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 4:30. Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital is a 24 hour emergency/specialty hospital and one of the cardiology staff is always on-call for your after hours emergency. The study lasts approximately 3 months and requires 6 in person visits. Dogs must have been diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure Due to Mitral Valve Disease to be considered for enrollment.

All study related expenses will be offered at no cost, including exams, labwork and study treatment.
