Vitamin A is famous for its role in keeping our vision sharp, but itโ€™s also a superstar for overall growth, embryo development, and a strong immune system.
The good news is that Vitamin A-rich foods are often at their peak during the colder months! Think of those bright orange and dark leafy greens: carrots, sweet potatoes, winter squash, spinach, and collard greens.
Your WIC benefits make it easier to bring these healthy, colorful foods to your family's table. Reach out to WIC for more information and nutrition tips for your family: www.signupwic.com/find-a-clinic

"The Satter Approach to Feeding" by Ellyn Satter:

"My mission is to show parents how to make feeding practical, positive, and joyful for them and their children. We want our children to eat well and grow up to be healthy. I know now that the way to achieve childrenโ€™s wellness is to let them feel good about their eating."

We are so happy to share that the Produce Perks SNAP Matching Program is confirmed and fully funded for our Market through March 31st, 2026!

This continued funding ensures that all customers using SNAP/EBT can continue to DOUBLE THEIR DOLLARS when buying fresh, local fruits and vegetables all winter long. This is reassuring news for both our SNAP/EBT customers and the viability of our local farms!

Exchange your SNAP/EBT dollars into redeemable market tokens, and we will continue to match them dollar-for-dollar (up to $25 per market day) to purchase fresh, local fruits and vegetables with produce perks.

Visit the CVFM Welcome Booth inside Old Trail School on Saturdays to exchange your benefit into redeemable tokens with our participating vendors.

Thank you to all who advocate for these vital federal food assistance programs!

See you tomorrow, indoors at Old Trail School!

dough and other doughs, whether they come from a mix or are made from scratch.
Flour and other ingredients can contain harmful bacteria that are only killed during
the cooking process. Children are especially vulnerable to serious foodborne illness.
