It is Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month, and we want everyone in the community to know that your ordinary is extraordinary. Share what makes you extraordinary during this month. Post a video, picture, or story and make sure to tag the Amputee Coalition so your story can be shared during this month. Use the hashtags and on your post to join the conversation on social media and to help promote limb loss awareness!

Next Step will be closed to move into our new facility Thursday, 4/29/2021 and Friday, 4/30/2021. We will be periodically checking our voicemail and email during our regular business hours on these two days. We will re-open in our new facility located right next door on Monday, May 3, 2021 for normal business hours! We can't wait for you all to see what we've been working on in this last year to better serve you!

The main job responsibilities include:

-Eligibility and Benefits: Understanding the benefit details and discussing anticipated patient responsibilities prior to services being rendered.

- Thoroughly understanding documentation requirements for each service and developing the documentation required (i.e. Obtaining medical records- occasionally from multiple sources, detailed prescriptions when required and prior authorizations when necessary)

- Working in conjunction with the patient to obtain the proper paperwork to meet the documentation requirements set out by each individual insurance company and obtaining prior authorizations when required.

- Prescriptions : Obtaining accurate detailed prescriptions and medical records on an as needed basis.

-Submitting Prior Authorizations: Reviewing documentation packages for completeness and accuracy prior to submission of authorization. Submitting authorization through various insurance companies provider portals and calling to follow up when necessary.
