World Breastfeeding Week❤️
Post your breastfeeding pic! This is me feeding my last baby. I loved breastfeeding my 8 babies! It helped me slow down and give them some undivided (or less divided) attention. It wasn’t easy with all of them but it was worth it!

Documenting mileage. The reality of a midwife’s life… 3 days of little to no sleep, no shower and this is the photo that I always walk away with. It’s not glorious but the images burned in me that I do walk away with are-
❤️The strength of a mother working so hard to bring her baby here
❤️The eager, nervous dad whispering encouraging words
❤️The women that hold the space in the room and are truly ‘with woman’.
❤️That mom bringing her baby to breast for the first time

Just a quick brush up on my IV skills. My wonderful man reluctantly agrees to some extra hydration. Oh the joys of having a midwife as a mom- everyone groans when I come home with my IV bag. 😂

New class in our area! Go check it out ! Lydia is a wonderful doula/massage therapist that I met recently. She’s now certified in infant massage as well. I Love infant massage! It’s a great way to soothe and bond with your baby while releasing any tension they might have.

A beautiful day for a water birth! This little one came in the wee hours of the morning. I had just enough time to get home and crawl into bed before my crazy crew woke up. I love how they are old enough now to carry on and let me sleep a few hours! (Minus the 3 year old that still comes in for morning snuggles ❤️).
