Through energy healing, spiritual support, and trauma-informed emotional processing, we help you return to the essence of your truest self. I typically need 90 minutes for my first session with a client. During that first session, we discuss what you would like to change in your life, and what your optimal outcome would be for our work together. I find that what is usually most important to start with is energetic healing and clearing work, which many people in our culture have never had before. Clearing work can be thought of as a "spiritual shower," as you are cleansed of energy that is not yours and that is not essential to the core of your being. The types of healing that I offer (both energy healing and shamanic healing) are forms of spiritual healing - meaning that the healing comes not from me, but from a collaboration of our intentions (yours and mine) joined with God or Spirit (or whatever name you prefer that fits your belief system). Basically, I am supporting your healing process by asking Spirit to work through me. I am simply here to help you to access the power of Spirit to gain healing, clarity, wisdom, acceptance, forgiveness, love, insight, and everything needed on your journey into greater wholeness, healing, joy and love in your life. What is my spiritual orientation? Although I come from a Catholic Christian background and have studied many of the Christian mystics, my current spiritual understanding also comes from having studied many of the world's religions and different spiritual texts. The healing work offered here at Birthing Spirit is not limited to people from a particular religion, nor does it require a traditional belief in God per se. However, in shamanic & spiritual healing, I work with benevolent beings such as angels, saints, ascended masters, and of course the Divine (or Higher Self or whichever term you prefer) to help you access healing energy, higher wisdom and power. I am open to working with anyone, as long as they are open to the idea of benevolent helping spirits, God or even Higher Self working on their behalf to help them become a more healed, joyful, benevolent human being here on earth. To those who have had negative spiritual or religious experiences
For those who have had bad experiences with formal religion and have learned that God (or Jesus, Allah, etc.) is about condemnation and judgement, that is not God as I know God to be. The God that I know and love offers unconditional Love, acceptance, forgiveness, mercy, joy, and tenderness. Judgement and condemnation often come from people who grew up surrounded by a lot of judgement and feel they have to earn God's love, and often feel unworthy of receiving the unconditional nature of God's healing love. If you have ever been treated with judgement and condemnation by religious folks or internalized that energy, I'm sorry that you have had that experience. Please do not let that be your only experience of God in this life. However, bad religion and poor religious teaching cannot stop the flow of Divine Love into your life. You deserve to experience the love and healing power of the True God and of your True Self. Take back your power and divine right to be the spiritual being that you are. Have some sessions with me, engage in some of your own spiritual practices to get to know Spirit, and then decide for yourself what this being is really like and what to call this Supreme Being. I often call this being Love - for God, to me, is the most all-encompassing, unsurpassable and unconditional Love that exists, and the source of all goodness. I invite you to experience this Goodness as often as you can, and in as many ways as you can. Why the name "Birthing Spirit"? The name “Birthing Spirit” refers to us birthing Spirit (or God or Higher Self, whichever term you prefer) into our lives through our conscious intention to do so (to bring heaven to earth, so to speak, through our physical bodies). However, it is also a description of the actions of Spirit - that Spirit is constantly birthing their Self into the world, which is the nature of Spirit - to want to unite with creation and the material world. This idea is common among mystics who clearly perceive that God is ever present in the physical world. Angela of Foligno, a secular Franciscan born in Italy in the mid 13th century, expressed this idea in writing, “The world is pregnant with God!” Similar sentiments have been expressed by others who have experienced God’s presence in creation. So this idea of “Birthing Spirit” is both an action and intention on our part to bring Spirit more fully into ourselves and our world, but also an ongoing action and intention of Spirit to meet us in our material world and in our physical bodies. What to expect from following this FB page:
I intend for my page to be a place where people are inspired to take the courageous steps required to live from their most authentic, whole, healed Self. I want to encourage people to be vulnerable enough to seek the “pearl of great price” and dedicated enough to never give up, no matter how difficult the path of identifying less with their ego and realizing the nature of their True Self.
