Did you know that therapeutic massage has the natural ability to eliminate most or all of the discomforts in your body without the use of drugs or medications? Most people live their lives talking or thinking themselves into pain. There are physical manifestations or energetic blockages in your body right now that are preventing you from feeling well. They might come from an emotional response to

a traumatic experience like an accident or a sudden change in life circumstance such as divorce or loss of a loved one. They could also stem from fear, anger or countless other emotional altercations that cause stress on our minds and bodies. The reality is that we react to these experiences on several different levels such as physical, emotional, energetic or spiritual. Our bodies react when we spend time replaying the story in our own minds or recounting the painful details to others. We are creating deeper physical effects than we might even be aware of. Many times people will have pain in their body for years and not even remember what may have caused it. They change the way we stand, sit and sleep.In fact some people lose sleep due to some nagging pain that won't allow them to fully relax which in turn might cause frustration building even further pain down the line.Pain affects our daily lives and prohibits our bodies from functioning properly.Ultimately it could be robbing us of the happiness in life that we richly deserve! With this knowledge you now have the choice to begin to live a healthier life that is on it's way to freedom from discomfort.

As a Certified Advanced Massage Therapist and a graduate of the San Francisco School of Massage, I combine a deep knowledge of human anatomy with technical skill, unusual intuition and compassion to your bodywork. We incorporate a variety of simple yet effective techniques that call upon the recipient to become an active participant in the session. By replicating the repetitive motions that add to our physical stress while manually pinpointing the root of the discomfort we are able to unwind the holding patterns and relieve the muscles. Since beginning my practice several years ago I've been graced with being one of the top-requested Bodyworkers at Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville, CA. I also have a private practice at Back 2 Life Wellness in Alameda. Rate:

Imagine being immersed in a serenade of healing frequencies during a live Sound Bath while melting into a comforting Massage in a warm, open-platform setting.

Raul Castro Bodywork & Melissa Felsenstein present The Sound Spa: A unique, multi-sensory experience designed to promote relaxation and profound release through the ancient healing arts of sound, vibration, and touch.

A Sound Bath is a full sensory experience performed live on traditional instruments intended to induce total body relaxation and open portals to mediative states. During the Sound Bath Meditation each person will experience an individual Sonic Attunement through the use of a Vibrational Tuning Fork.

After an initial and requisite verbal intake, your Massage will consist of slow, deliberate pressure, gentle traction and rocking movements applied by the therapists hands. This session is for relaxation and is not intended to probe deeply into acute or chronic injuries.

All staff and recipients of the Sound Bath and Massage will be clothed and the services rendered will be provided in an open-platform setting by designated, Certified Massage Therapists. Space is limited to 10 people with each person having their individual massage therapist and table.
