✨✨Acupuncture FAQ Time!✨✨
“What is acupuncture?”
Acupuncture is the practice of inserting fine (sterilized) needles into points on the body that encourage the flow of Qi & Blood to promote our body’s innate healing abilities. Qi (think The Force) and Blood (including the blood in your vessels, but also a more esoteric substance known as “Blood” - which is a bigger share for another time) travel through the meridians of our body’s physiological systems. The practice of acupuncture is both a physical and energetic experience, and you absolutely do not need to believe in the more “woo-woo” aspects of this ancient medicine to see amazing results! (though, we do love our Woo-Woo here at Good Witch) ⭐️

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine are deeply intertwined with nature, always aiming to bring your body to a state of calm so it can perform its most essential work to keep you in a state of balanced homeostasis - body, mind, & spirit (aka Shen). It is a cumulative experience, so the more often you receive acupuncture treatments, the better, quicker, and longer the results will be. 💜

Licensed Acupuncturists hold a 4-year Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) following rigorous classroom & clinical training. 🤓 Did you know that LAc’s are Primary Care Physicians in the state of California? Welcome to our first annual Meet The Acupuncturist Month! 🌻

Hi! I’m Dr. Tiffinie. I’m a Doctor of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine & Licensed Acupuncturist, and the owner of Good Witch Wellness & Apothecary in Alameda, CA. 🌙

This challenge was created with the goal of starting a worldwide wave of education about how amazing Acupuncture & Traditional Asian Medicine are. 🙌

I started on this path in the late ‘80’s when I became addicted to acupuncture - every Monday night for 5 years. As someone who suffers from anxiety, acupuncture really saved my nervous system, & (as I joke at times) my life. I spent the first nearly 20-years of practice in SF at Nest Acupuncture & on-site at Pacific Fertility. 🌸

In addition to being an LAc, I am certified in Jin Shin Do acupressure, reflexology, & trained in facial acupuncture + micro needling. I’ve been told that I am a gentle needler & I aim to accommodate even the biggest needle-phobe. 💫

My specialization is in fertility, & it’s been my great honor and privilege to have supported thousands of couples through this journey & beyond these past 20 years. 🌕

I am a native Californian, married to the love of my life, & we share a wonderful 16-year old kiddo. I’m also “mama” to two sweet kitties we adopted from , turning my guys into cat people. I’m an LGBTQ+ ally, & believe that no one should be denied reproductive rights or healthcare. 💜

It’s my great joy to create magical tonics, teas & bitters for wellness, daily rituals & beauty. I find so much inspiration in nature, our community, & in my little garden. 🌱
