This is about a month late, but I actually graduated midwifery school on June 2nd 2022 with many of my closest friends in tow. I am grateful to for our education and for all the support along the way. None of us would be here without our professors, classmates, and administration which worked endlessly to help us get to this moment. I can’t believe I did it. I remember my first day as a student nurse and feeling so excited but also very overwhelmed at the prospect of studying super hard over the next three years and working many hours at all hours in the hospital to become a CNM/WHNP. My goal was actually to walk across the graduation stage very pregnant and I am proud to say that I walked across the stage at 30 weeks with my baby girl kickin her way there with me. I am especially grateful to one very special midwife pictured here alongside me in the first photo ❤️ Kaitlyn you’ve been with me on this midwifery journey since the beginning and ever since we met I felt a crazy spiritual connection with you that will last for the rest of our lives ✨ you are such an incredible person, let alone badass kind life saving brilliant hilarious midwife. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve called or texted you in a panic about clinicals or a patient situation, or school overall, and you always manage to calm me down and remind me that this journey is one of self growth, acceptance, love, and constant learning. I am also grateful to my cohort of midwives who I worked with on this crazy journey and who also taught me a great deal. May we all find our respective paths in this field and continue to thrive and save peoples lives- especially in the current state of affairs we are in. Of course, I am always thankful and in sincere gratitude to my husband and my dad and mom who pushed me to get here, who listened to me, and who supported me throughout this new midwifery path I am on. Thank you all.
