Guillermo del Toro tells young directors they should not listen when “people tell you art is not important,” because that is “always a prelude to fascism.” https://variety.com/2026/film/news/guillermo-del-toro-art-not-important-prelude-to-fascism-1236623278/

“Be kind, be involved, believe in your art,” he said. “At a time when people tell you art is not important, that is always a prelude to fascism. They think they can debase everything that makes us a little better, a little more human. And that, in my book, and in my life, includes monsters.”

This sound bath is designed to support you in coming home to yourself. You’ll be supported in letting go of what doesn’t serve you, so you can be fully present and connected to your truest self for 2026, a 1 Year in numerology that is primed for new beginnings.

In sacred space, we’ll begin with meditation, relaxing the mind and body. You’ll be guided through releasing old energy and filling yourself with your soul essence. A sound journey will follow to allow further release and integration. From a place of deep inner-connectedness, we’ll plant seeds of intention for the year to come. All are welcome!

Winter is a wonderful time for internal reflection and conserving and building resources for the upcoming year. Rest during this season is important for revitalizing the Kidneys, our Yin water organs according to Chinese medicine. This period of utmost Yin is a time to slow down, rest, reflect, rejuvenate and connect with Self. For this same reason, many animals hibernate during winter. Even though we’re in the new year according to the Gregorian calendar, it is actually not a time for big changes and resolutions according to the energy of the seasonal shifts. Now is the time to continue resting and building resources for the upcoming new year which coincides with the first blooms of Spring.

In this nourishing workshop we will be harmonizing the Water element and its associated organs, Kidney and Urinary Bladder, to encourage grounding and rest. During this workshop and throughout the remainder of this season, it is important to keep the entire back and neck covered and warm in order to nurture the Qi of the Kidney and Urinary Bladder organ systems.
