We know we're called "The Counseling Center," not "The Tutoring Center," but don't let that fool you! We are proud to provide free tutoring services for our local students. Whether the student wants a deeper understanding of a topic they're passionate about or they're struggling with their coursework, tutoring is for everyone!

The Alamogordo Drug-Free Communities Coalition (view attached for more information) has their last meeting of the year tomorrow at 5:15pm in our Board Room. All youth, parents of youth, and invested community members (such as teachers, coaches, first responders, or religious representatives) are welcome to attend!

If you identify more with drug-aware or harm reduction rather than drug-free, great! You belong at the table! We all care about keeping our youth informed and safe. Let's talk.

Tomorrow's meeting will be a discussion on the logo and a review of the Up and Away Program for ADFCC booths at community events. This will be followed by any new business or community announcements brought forward by coalition members or visitors. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

We accept crisis walk-ins during operating hours, 8am-5pm M-F. Please don't hesitate to come in. And the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline is always available. We know it can be difficult to reach out when you're feeling lonely, angry, or upset, but we promise that there is always somebody that cares!

The Alamogordo Drug-Free Communities Coalition is a team of parents, youth, local organizations, and community members committed to helping local youth find healthy alternatives to substance use, providing educational material regarding the risks of substance use, and connecting youth and parents to community resources. They are looking for youth to help create their logo! Submissions are due this Friday! https://www.tcc-nm.org/event-details/adfcc-youth-logo-design-contest

If your student would like to submit a design, they are accepting hand drawn logos which will then be digitized by ADFCC. Bring any submissions by The Counseling Center before 5:00pm on Friday, November 14. Please help spread the news!
