Picky eating is a common behavior among many toddlers from 2-5 years old. Here are some tips that can help👇

⭐ Encourage your child to join you prepare meals or let them pick out 1 fruit or veggie at the store.
⭐ Include a mix of familiar foods AND new foods (but just 1 at a time!)
⭐ Try to keep mealtime low-pressure. talk about colors, shapes, and textures and avoid labeling foods as "good" or "bad".
⭐ Offer the same foods for the whole family.

Picky eating can be stressful, but these tips can help you deal with this behavior in a more positive way that nurtures your child's willingness to explore new foods.

Starting April 1, 2025, new WIC food packages are here! No action needed — your benefits have already been updated. Simply check out your new benefits on the WICShopper app.

The WIC Shopper app is currently experiencing technical difficulties. Some participants are seeing an error message when trying to retrieve benefit balances. Colorado WIC is aware of this is issue and is actively working to resolve it.

This error is only in the app and does NOT impact your WIC benefits. You can use them at WIC stores as normal.

You can check your benefit balance at the store prior to shopping or by calling 1-844-234-4950.
