We are proud of our Miracle Child Champion, Logan, and proud to be a part of Children's Miracle Network! When you donate to CMN in the Capital Region, your donation stays local - supporting critical care, equipment, research, and children, like Logan, right here in Albany.

We're excited to announce a new partnership with Little Wishes! Our child life specialists will grant small wishes to provide entertainment and comfort for our patients through a gift of their choice. The first wish went to Bella, who asked for a slime mixer! Thank you to Little Wishes for helping us spread joy in the children’s hospital!

Meet Logan, our 2026 Miracle Child Champion for Children's Miracle Network! When Logan, of Saugerties, was born not breathing, she was rushed from her community hospital to our Level 4 neonatal intensive care unit. She was diagnosed with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), which caused a severe brain injury and developmental delays. Now 3 years old, Logan sees several of our pediatric specialists including neurologists, gastroenterologists, and developmental/behavioral health specialists. Her parents, Katelyn and Dietz, are thankful for the doctors and nurses who have helped Logan grow into a happy girl with a big personality!

We'll be cheering for our pediatric nurse Kelsey O'Driscoll as she competes at the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games!

We’re proud to celebrate one of our own! Albany Medical Center’s Kelsey O’Driscoll, RN, has been named to the 2026 U.S. Paralympic Alpine Team and will compete at the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games. An asthma care coordinator in our pediatric clinic on Myrtle Avenue, Kelsey inspires both her patients and colleagues through her dedication to nursing and adaptive skiing. As a member of Team USA, she competes in downhill, Super-G, and giant slalom. Join us in cheering her on as she prepares to represent the United States at the Winter Paralympics starting March 6!

We are incredibly thankful for the continued support of Spirit of Children! This year, they raised over $106,000 at local Spirit Halloween stores to benefit our Child Life program, surpassing $1 million raised since our partnership began in 2009! The best part, though, is watching our patients smile as they pick out costumes and Halloween goodies, donated by Spirit Halloween each October. Thank you for your support!

Thank you to The Warren & Denyse Mackey Foundation and the UAlbany Men's Basketball team for hosting another great Play Your Heart Out event! Patients from our Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders and the American Heart Association's Cardiac Kids program served as honorary captains. They got a tour of the locker room, watched the players warm up, and joined Denyse Mackey on court to receive donations to the Melodies Center and the American Heart Association - New York State. We're truly grateful for everyone’s generosity and support in creating a fun, memorable night for the kids!

Let’s go Saints! A big thank you to our friends at Play It Foreward 518 for bringing the Siena Men's Basketball team to visit children at the Melodies Center. Our kids—along with Saints players and head coach Gerry McNamara—had a blast shooting hoops and playing games; and also singing and dancing with our music therapist. We thank Siena for our partnership and for making our patients and their families smile!
