5 YEARS!!! 5 Years since you walked in to Dana Farber !!
We never thought we would have gotten this far.
Proud of you Bill- proud of everything you have accomplished to get to this point . You should be proud!! 🥹

It was extremely hard leaving Dana Farber only a short time ago, knowing that I couldn’t see or give him a giant hug and tell him everything will be okay!
I have to know that everything that we are doing IS the right thing!

So many doubts , so many thoughts crossed our minds on the drive out there. Were we doing the right thing ?!?! There is no doubt in my mind that we have done the right thing to get him the right answers and I can say that I am comfortable leaving him with a team! The best team!!!
A team to protect him the best way they know how!

Bill met with Dr DeAngelo this morning, unfortunately I could not be directly in there with him. Damn covid! But thank god for Zoom!
Dr DeAngelo was amazing and gave us what it is we are dealing with in terms we could understand and re assured us that him and his team know everything about this !
BPDCN is a rare blood cancer that can be shown in 3 major areas. Bone marrow, lymphnodes, and skin lesions.
Bill currently has 2/3 , lymphnodes and the skin lesions.
Dr De Angelo and his team are the ones who founded this type of cancer, researched and produced this medicine treatment for what Bill is dealing with! World renowned Dr’s!!!!

What was done today- Another bone marrow biopsy and the lumbar puncture . He was in a lot of pain and of course if you know Bill, he wanted to leave , those who really know me, that’s NOT happening 🤨🤨!!

Good news : His bone marrow is not showing leukemia!! Thank God 🙏!!!

Doesn’t mean anything different at this time but hopeful we know more tomorrow with everything else.

Continue to Pray, sending positive vibes, well wishes and healing for his pain! I wish I could hug him, give him another kiss, hold his hand but it’s not about me! It’s about HIM getting better, him receiving the best treatment he could possibly have right now. So I can give him a hug and kiss and hold his hand forever!!!

Continue to pray for those families who can’t hug, kiss, or hold a loved ones hand during this pandemic and in their worst time! It’s terrible , it sucks, and it’s NOT fair!!

Thank you to ALL in his TEAM! The Dr’s, nurses giving him the best care! Thank you to YOU ALL, for the past few days of heartache, being scared, your words of encouragement, blessings, love and support have been so helpful !!! Keep it coming!

Guess who’s headed home - LONG 4 weeks for Kathryn! She did it, she pushed through!! She will continue to go back weekly for check ups but look at that smile Happy to head home!!
She still has a long road ahead - keep those prayers and positive vibes coming strong 💪🏼 ♥️

1,205 days!!!

1,205 days since Bill walked into Dana Farber!!
1,049 days since transplant! His 3rd Birthday is almost here!! Doc says we have to celebrate !

Bill continues to deal with lots of cramping in his body which is very interesting to watch. It happens all over his body but mainly his hands and belly. Imagine a baby in a womens belly moving. He cramps up so badly that when it releases it moves his entire body. So strange. This seems to be just a symptom of a high intensity transplant that was given and all the meds. We have tried pretty much everything out there. Pickle juice, lots and lots of water. Tonic water. Magnesium. Nothings seems to work. We do however need to try Tonic water again and maybe something more like ‘G’?! Anyone ever hear of that? Doc says it’s more expensive but has more Quinine in it to help. So here’s to searching for some good tonic. Hehe not Gin and Tonics either.😆. Although may not hurt but 🤢.
Nose bleeds are still a thing and sinus issues , which we have been thinking it’s more of this dryer air. Doc agrees that we will still monitor and his numbers are pretty status quo so we can take it!!
We are now down to coming 6 months !! We finally made it to this point. September we will be back for PET scan. He will always be watched but moving the schedule farther and farther is such a huge step in the right direction.

Just a friendly reminder today that life throws us curve balls, and life is never what it seems to be. It’s hard to walk in others shoes when you have no idea what they are going through. Stop placing judgement when you have no idea what someone is going though! Just be kind, pray and send positive vibes whatever it is you believe in.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I’m thankful for a lot of things but one thing I will always be thankful for is the love and support we have had over the last 3 years. Nov 17th we hit the 3 year mark since Bill walked into Dana Farber and then a week later on Thanksgiving, I was thankful that I could pick you up and drive you home and prepare you for a journey we never expected.
3 YEARS!!
Thankful for life!
Thankful for the nurses and doctors who are our Team of Experts (TOEs)!
Thankful our children have witnessed the strength, courage, resilience of their father and to show them what they set their mind to they can get through anything.
Thankful to wonderful family and friends who we were able to lean on.
Sometimes in your life the least expected happens and we just have to roll with it. It sure hasn’t been easy and we still have struggle moments but we have eachother.
Live each moment to the fullest.
From us Boomhower’s to your family we hope you’ve had the very best Thanksgiving Day and we hope to continue to celebrate not only what we are thankful for but that we were able to spend it all together! 💪💪 🧡 🧡

Of course we went bright and early today!! The picture you saw🤣🤣🤦‍♀️ looked like a hot mess! The face I had hahahaha!!

Got to see our favorite beautiful loving nurse Nicole!! Bill hasnt seen her 2+ years! So good to know she is as our miracle during our journey at DF!!!

We heavent been since April to see the team so we were a little nervous of course.
Bills white blood count is higher than expected so they are running some additional tests on his blood. Having a donor can come with lots of different things we will always have to look out for.
We will know more tomorrow. He was able to remove a medication too but add a new one for his cramps. If you have ever seen him have his cramps you know. It looks like he has a baby on his belly and when the cramp releases his entire belly moves 😳🤪.
We have a few local drs we have to check in at now that we don’t have to go for 6 months. So crazy to hear we can space the appointments out more.

We know a lot of you have been wondering about Kathryn too! She is doing okay.. she just had her other hip replaced a few weeks back. She unfortunately bones were deteriorating in other hip so it needed to be replaced . Her back is still not so good but she is on chemo to continue some treatment before she has to go back to DF to see if her Next step will be stem cell transplant for the harvesting of her cells they did about a month or so ago. She’s a champ. But exhausted most days, being in pain is draining. She has really good support from friends and family and we know all of you!! Much love and prayers to Kathryn
