Be Mine

2 Chronicles 16:9a (NLT) The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

It feels good to be wanted and loved. We have our family and friends to nurture us in this way, and we do the same for them in return. We’re blessed and favored to have such care and support in our life. And it’s good to know that – with or without the customary foundation of family and friends around us – we can always depend on the Lord to be here for us. He keeps His eyes on those who put their complete trust in Him. His love and care for us is eternal. Are you fully committed to your Heavenly Father? He sees you, and He whispers to you, “Be Mine.”

Worship and Don’t Worry

Matthew 6:33 (NLT) But seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.

We need to hear this – and we especially want the younger generations to know – that as sure as we’re here in the earth, and we have dreams that we want to fulfill – God’s Word tells us the way to go about having our dreams come true. We are to ‘seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness’. Why? Because when we do this we are using our energy to worship our God in faith instead of worrying about the unknown in fear. God’s Kingdom is our homebase, and God is our Divine Father. He made us and placed our dreams within us. When we look to God to provide us with the essential provisions we need to live, we also look to Him as our Dream Keeper to protect and develop us and our dreams until He deems it is time for our manifestation in the world. So, to all of us I say, “If we truly love God, and if we truly believe in God’s love for us and in His desire for us to experience the unfolding of our dreams in our lifetime – then let’s do what today’s scripture commands us to do.” We are to worship and not worry.

Dougherty County School System Will Have
Early Dismissal Thursday

The Dougherty County School System will release students early Thursday, November 10, 2022 to allow students to safely arrive home ahead of storms that are expected to bring severe weather into the area.
In order to have students safely home before the worst of the weather is expected to move through our area, elementary schools will begin dismissal at 11 a.m.., middle schools at 12 noon, and high schools at 1 p.m. Schools and district offices will close at 2 pm.
All after school activities have been canceled.
District leaders have been working with local emergency management officials to monitor the system. This decision was made after the National Weather Service increased the chance of severe weather in our area.
