Words are energy.

They carry where they come from - your mind, your heart, or the part of you you’ve learned to hide.

This is a reminder: your voice isn’t just sound. It’s a reflection of your inner world.

Today, I interview Jonathan Reynolds, who learned that voice isn’t something you perform, it’s something you live from. Growing up in a small town shaped by rigid roles and quiet expectations, Jonathan learned early on to silence parts of himself. But beneath that silence was a longing for truth...

She woke up in ICU—and everything changed.

This week on Wednesday Spotlight, I’m speaking with Manya Gittel, a coach and trainer from South Africa who came face-to-face with the truth most of us avoid.

What happens when life strips away all the noise… and all that’s left is you?

No more performing.
No more pretending.

Just truth. Voice. Presence.

Join us live as we talk about the raw, honest journey of finding your voice—after nearly losing everything.

She had something to say.

But as soon as the Zoom call started—
her throat closed.

Last time she spoke up, someone smirked:
“You’re kind of… a lot.”

So she shut down.

Rehearsed every word.
Questioned every thought.

Not because she was shy—
but because silence felt safer.

Until one day, with support, she did something different.

She spoke one full sentence.

No shrinking.
No apology.
No overexplaining.

That’s the kind of shift I want for you.

If you’ve ever gone quiet to stay safe—save this.
Or just message me “hi.”

You’re not here to stay small.
Your voice was never theirs to shrink.

Take it back. All of it.

“This isn’t working.”

You’ve tried the techniques.
Followed the strategies.
Even embraced innovation.

You’re doing everything growth is supposed to require.

But something still feels... off.

Like success is close, but out of sync.

Sometimes, the right question doesn’t just give you an answer.
It gives you back a part of yourself.

That’s what voice work rooted in BEING is really about...
Speaking from who you are, not who you were told to be.

For Chris Hilbert , it wasn’t about being told what to say.
It was about being gently guided into the parts of her voice that had been quiet.
Back to her clarity, her knowing, her presence.

Because your voice doesn’t disappear.
It gets BURIED under all the ways you learned to stay safe.

And when you finally feel safe enough to go there,
what you find isn’t something new.

It’s something that’s been waiting to rise inside you.

Have you ever held back your voice just to feel safe?

💌 If you’re open to sharing, I’d genuinely love to hear your story.
You can drop it in the comments or DM me if that feels better.

Sometimes, speaking feels harder than it should.

Even when you know what you want to say…
something holds you back.

And it’s not just nerves.
It’s the fear that being fully yourself might cost you something.

I see this often, especially in people who’ve spent years shrinking themselves just to stay safe.

This post unpacks why that happens...
and what it actually takes to rebuild a voice you can trust again.

Feeling small and incomplete because you didn’t speak up?

You keep thinking, “Why didn’t I just say something?"

It’s like you betrayed yourself and that’s painful.

But take heart: freezing once doesn’t mean you always will.

That silence isn’t your whole story.

You can shift what happens after the silence—again and again.

Because every time you meet yourself with compassion,

…your voice grows a little stronger.

⬅️ Swipe to learn how to meet those silent moments differently.

So they don’t define you.

You don’t need more perfect words.
You don’t need to rehearse one more time.
You don’t need to craft the message that pleases everyone.

Because confidence isn’t about saying it “right.”

It’s about trusting that your truth is worth sharing and knowing you’ll be okay, no matter how it’s received.

That’s the part we rarely acknowledge:
Speaking up isn’t always about getting applause or agreement.

Sometimes, it’s simply about honoring WHAT'S REAL FOR YOU.

And standing in it.
Without shrinking.
Without second-guessing.

Because somewhere, someone will hear what you say...
and it will open something in them.

Not because it was polished,
but because it was TRUE.

Inside Find Your Voice, this is what we practice.
Not just how to speak clearly, but how to feel grounded and self-connected when you do.

💬 What’s one place in your life where you’ve started speaking more honestly, even in small ways?

You’ve read the books.
You’ve practiced what to say.
Maybe you’ve even taken courses or joined groups to get better at speaking.

But when it’s time to speak up...

💔 your heart races, your chest tightens, and the words stay stuck.

Here’s why:
The problem isn’t your ability.
It’s the story your nervous system still believes.

At some point, maybe in childhood, school, or even in a past job, YOU LEARNED THAT SPEAKING UP COULD LEAD TO => rejection, criticism, or being misunderstood.

And now?
Your mind wants to share…
But YOUR BODY REMEMBERS what it felt like to not be heard. Or worse, to be shut down.

That’s why no amount of surface-level practice truly shifts the fear.

Real confidence comes when your whole system—mind and body—feels safe to speak.

Here’s a small practice to gently reconnect with your voice:
-Before your next meeting or conversation, take a moment to pause.
-Place one hand over your chest and the other over your belly.
-Feel the ground beneath you. Take a slow breath in... and a longer breath out.

Then quietly say to yourself:
“It’s okay to be here. It’s okay to speak.”

You don’t need to force confidence.
Just notice what comes up - tightness, hesitation, or maybe even a little calm.

Breathe through what you feel. The NOTICING is the beginning.

This is the kind of work we do in Find Your Voice.

We go deeper than tips. We help you unlearn holding back and reconnect with a voice that feels like yours.

If this speaks to something you’ve been carrying quietly for years…
You don’t have to keep holding it alone.

📌 I put together a free 7-Step Guide that walks you through the deeper shifts that help you speak with more calm, clarity, and self-trust.

DM me “GUIDE” and I’ll send you the link.

No pressure. Just support for your next step.
