Repsher Physical Therapy

Repsher Physical Therapy Albany, NY’s Premier Physical Therapy Office🏆
‘Helping People Over Life's Hurdles' since 1980! Our patients learn they cannot fall while wearing the harness.

Our passion is to provide individualized hands on physical therapy in a calm relaxed atmosphere. Our staff have advanced training and attend continuing education courses on a regular basis. Our patients love the AlterG treadmill which allows them to be unweighted up to 80% of their body weight walking or running while protecting healing tissues. We also utilize a Guldmann safety harness which supports patients while performing balance exercises. The skills learned allow them to progress to safe fall free walking at home. Our newest addition is Deep Tissue Laser Therapy which utilizes therapeutic levels of Laser light to reduce pain and speed up the healing process. This has been effective with patients even after suffering with high levels of chronic pain for years. We are a member of the Hospital of Special Surgery Rehabilitation Network. This allows patients to have their therapy coordinated between the hospital and our office.

Hot vs. Cold — Which Should You Use?

❄️ Cold = First 24–48 hrs after an injury. Think swelling, inflammation, and sharp pain.

🔥 Heat = For stiffness, muscle tightness, and chronic aches.

⚠️ Pro Tip: Don’t heat a fresh injury — you might make swelling worse.

If it’s angry, cool it. If it’s grumpy, warm it.

🔬 Treating Achilles Tendinopathy with Deep Tissue Laser Therapy

At Repsher Physical Therapy, we incorporate class IV deep tissue laser therapy as part of our evidence-based approach to treating Achilles tendinopathy.

This non-invasive treatment uses photobiomodulation to:

✅ Increase local circulation
✅ Reduce inflammation
✅ Accelerate tissue repair
✅ Decrease pain sensitivity

Pictured here is Corey Kruse, PT, applying laser therapy as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

Patients often report reduced symptoms, improved tolerance to loading and activity, and faster progress during laser-assisted rehabilitation.

If you’re dealing with Achilles pain (or any kind of pain!), laser therapy may be a key tool in your recovery.

📲 Call our office to discuss if adding laser therapy would help you recover faster!
