We are very excited to announce the arrival of rapid COVID PCR testing at CentralMed. The test takes 30 minutes, and you can leave with the PCR result after the visit! There is no need to wait several days for PCR test results to return. Of course, we continue to perform rapid antigen COVID tests and rapid molecular (NAAT) COVID tests, both available after 15 minutes, at CentralMed as well. We are happy to be able to continue to serve our community with a variety of options.

We are pleased to announce that our COVID molecular test (nucleic acid amplification test) is being accepted at a lot of international travel destinations. It is also being accepted at several area schools for the purpose of returning to school after an illness. This is great news since our rapid molecular test is highly accurate and can alleviate the need for a 3-day PCR test.

There’s new guidance from the CDC that people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can resume travel at a low risk to their health. The CDC says people who are at least two weeks past their final dose of the shot don’t need to test before travel or quarantine after.
