Last Sunday infront of millions of people the wife of Charlie Kirk, Erika Kirk proclaimed that she forgave the young man who killed her husband. This is a reminder to everyone that forgiveness is not about those who hurt you. Forgiveness is for you. Forgiveness is not about saying what they did was ok, its not pretending it didnt happen, forgiveness means youre refusing to let their actions define your future.

Forgiveness is not a weakness, it is a weapon. It is the ultimate act of strength. It means youre no longer trapped by the past. It means you have chosen freedom over bitterness. It means youre no longer waiting for their downfall to feel at peace. The moment you decide to forgive, something shifts. Your mind becomes lighter, your heart begins to heal, and without even trying you become the person you were always meant to be.

And heres the irony. The ones who hurt you, will feel it. They will expect you to stay angry, broken, and consumed by what they did. But when they see you smiling again, thriving, reaching new levels, THAT is when they will feel the weight of their own choices. Because the best revenge is not revenge at all. Its moving forward and becoming everything they tried to destroy.
