This month, our Hudson Park residents are celebrating Black History Month by learning, sharing, and reflecting on the incredible achievements, history, and impact of Black leaders and trailblazers throughout time.

We love creating meaningful moments that spark conversation, connection, and appreciation for the stories that helped shape our world. 💛

The first Black woman to become a self-made millionaire in the United States was Madam C.J. Walker, who built her success through haircare products and entrepreneurship in the early 1900s! 💼👑

Recently, a new resident arrived to Hudson Park directly from the hospital on her birthday. Sometimes life’s milestones don’t happen exactly as planned—but that doesn’t mean they can’t still be celebrated. 🎈

To help make her feel welcomed, our team placed balloons and a birthday card in her room to acknowledge her special day. It was a small gesture, but one meant to bring a little comfort and kindness during an unexpected transition. 💙

Georgette has been a dedicated part of the Hudson Park family since 1985(!!), and her commitment, kindness, and hard work have meant so much to residents and staff alike.
