The County of San Diego partnered with a national gun safety group GIFFORDS Law Center to file a lawsuit against Defense Distributed, claiming the company is selling a gun manufacturing device illegally in California.

The do-it-yourself firearm-making device called the ‘Ghost Gunner’ is essentially a 3D printer, and the lawsuit claims they're illegal to sell in California.

We totally agree with Senator Dave Min that the injunction is “an outrageous abuse of judicial authority that will undoubtedly make our communities less safe.” Why should California residents be forced to have activities we don’t want by OUT OF STATE & FOR PROFIT companies? Our elected representatives voted that these Gun Shows would not be allowed on our state Fair Grounds and properties . But our form of representative government now apparently has to take a back seat to companies such as Crossroads of the West, which is an Utah company. It is rather amazing to me that a UTAH company convinced a judge to over turn a decision the California state legislature voted for, and the Governor approved.

We are confident this decision will be reversed. But in the meantime, are we supposed to ignore all the statistics about Gun Deaths, especially among children and listen to a UTAH company spew their opinion about the 1st Amendment?!

P.S. It is my understanding that the bill introduced by ASSM Steve Bennett and Senator Monique Limon for the Ventura County Fairgrounds is still in effect!! It will be interesting if the Fairgrounds Board of Directors allows a Gun Show. We suggest we remind them that the bill is still in effect.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend, Janet Eckhouse. Janet defined the word ADVOCACY from Obama for America, to making thousands of political phone calls, stuffing hundreds of envelopes, holding and organizing fundraisers and events at her house on a moments notice, and becoming the founder and chair of the Ventura County Chapter of Brady, United Against Gun Violence. She never missed a protest, a Women's March with 500,000 of her closest friends, an Immigration rally, or a Convention! She found her way to the politicians (or they found her), and everyone who met her knew how hard she worked and fought for Justice for all! Janet just wanted to organize and get people to speak up. Thank you dearest Janet!
